BB's EuroMotors Reviews (1)

Repair was to replace shifter, entire console had to be removed. Shifter was replaced, but in the process the radio was broken. On 10/27/14 my 2003[redacted] CLK320 was taken in to have the shifter replaced. It was replaced and paid for immediately in the amount of $963.78. Upon on cranking the car to leave my husband turned radio switch on. The radio did not come on. He entered business and explained to them the radio would not come on. The lady in office drove it back around into garage and they looked at it and pretty much stated it was hooked up correctly so no idea why it wouldn't come on. My husband called me and I called and spoke to [redacted], the owner. He told me there was nothing he could do and the radio must have just gone out. To put the new shifter in the console including the radio had to be removed and reinstalled. I was very adamant that I wanted something done and not until I mentioned calling my bank and stopping payment did he finally agree to take it back in shop and look at it. After two more hours he told my husband it must have been a coincidence that it went out at the same time they were working on it. I do not for one minute think it was a coincidence just as I do not believe they intentionally broke my radio. The fact remains that my radio worked when I took it in and didn't when they finished working on my car. He offered nothing to try to resolve this. Nothing. This was a horrible experience and unacceptable customer service. I feel as the owner of the business [redacted] would want to make his customers happy especially in this case, but he didn't even offer an apology. My bank has told me they will reverse the payment I made to him if I so decide. It's not something I want to do as I live up to my responsibility. [redacted] with BB's Euromotors in Olive Branch,MS does not and that is an absolute shame. This is unacceptable and I have no intention of letting this go without [redacted] with BB's Euromotors in Olive Branch making some sort of ammends for this unfortunate situation.Desired SettlementI want my radio replaced. I do not want BB's Euromotors installing it, but I feel they are the only party responsible for the damage that caused my radio to go out. I want them to replace the radio and pay to have it installed. My husband missed an entire day at work as well as Sat in their office from 10 am until 4:30 pm. We live at the very least 85 miles from this business and quite honestly I do not want them touching my vehicle again.Business Response The customer brought his car in for a shifter assembly , that was contaminated with sugary substance (Coffee/Soda). To replace this assembly we had to remove most of the center console. In doing this the cars radio was removed from the console but not unplugged. In other words slid out and placed to one side. We do this to keep from losing the radio code. When repair was done the car was cleaned up and then the customer paid and left. The customer soon returned and said that his radio did not play so I brought the car back around and checked for possible blown fuses. I found no fuse blown so I checked for power and ground to the back of the radio. It had both powers and all of its grounds. Radio should work if it were a good unit. The radio would not power up. I told the customer about what I had found and that I was sorry but it looks like he has a bad radio. He wasn't real happy but seemed to understand. After he left we received a phone call from the customers wife stating that her radio worked and that if we didn't do something to fix the problem then she was going to cancel the payment for the shifter repair. The wife was not here and did not get the explanation that the husband got and did not understand like the husband did. So after threats of payment cancellation I told her that if the husband would come back then I would see what we could do. When the Husband and the car came back I asked him was the radio playing when he brought the car in. He said yes but that he had turned it off when he got out of the car. It is our company policy not to mess with the radios in customers cars. They are to be left alone unless they are hindering the repair of the car. So we did not hear the radio play nor did we turn it on when the car came in. We just removed it from the position in the dash and set it aside leaving it plugged in , then refit it when the job was done. I brought the car back into the shop and removed the radio myself. Then started to look for possible causes. I traced the harness back down into the console and found that there were several wires cut along with extra wires from an aftermarket radio being installed at some point in time. I have pictures of this. In doing all of these checks I still found nothing that would cause the radio to not come on. It had both powers and grounds , the fuse in the back of the radio was good and there was no external damage to the radio at all. Bad Radio.I brought the customer out into the shop and showed him everything explaining how the radio was removed and laid to the side . I showed him , using a Digital Volt Ohm meter , that the Radio had its power supplies and grounds. Then I showed him every side , front and back of the Radio and asked him, did he see any damage ,like it had been dropped or hit with anything , and he stated No. He did not see any damage to the Radio. The customer even stated before all of this went down that they had taken the car to a shop in their area and after the shop had looked at the car they stated that they did not want to work on it so then they decided to bring it to us. I explained to the customer that with the powers and grounds and no damage you could almost relate it to being in a room with the light on. Turning the light off when you leave. Then coming back and turning it on and the bulb being blown. Was it the man's fault for turning on the light that the bulb blew? I have said that I was sorry that this was happening to them and that I would do what I can to help them out but that I, BB's EuroMotors was not responsible for their Radio going out. The customer , The Husband under stood so I put his car back together and he left. Now here I am responding to a complaint that the Wife , which was not here and did not see everything that I showed her Husband has filed with You the Revdex.com. I hope that this explains everything that went on . I do have pictures of the car and the center console wiring that had been cut if I need to send , I can .Thank You[redacted]Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I understood everything he said to my husband. I also know that the radio worked when it was taken into his shop and it did not work when it left his shop. He can state anything he likes but the fact remains that it was no coincidence that the radio went out while he had it out of the console replacing my shifter. I have used this shop before and have other work that I need to have done, like replace the radio, replace the top, a few other things. Unfortunately now I will have to find another shop that is honest and dependable. My daughter's fiance, who is an attorney has said he'll be glad to handle this at no charge to me so it looks like that is what we will be doing. If [redacted] with BB's Euromotors would have made any type of offer to help correct this problem that would not have been necessary. My advice to anyone thinking about using this shop is DON'T USE BB'S EUROMOTORS IN [redacted] MS. They are not straight up and use any excuse possible to get out of taking responsibility for their mistakes whether intentional or unintentional. I unfortunately not only spent nearly $1000 with his shop this go around, but over a year ago I spent around the same amount with him. He has no appreciation for his customers and cares nothing about keeping them happy or earning their future business. My husband is the person who took the car to sit nearly the whole day while they worked on it, but it is my car and I bought and own it. That's why I am the one who called [redacted] at BB's Euromotors and that is why I am the one who filed the complaint with the Revdex.com as well as will be the plaintiff listed in the lawsuit. Again, take my advice, DO NOT USE BB's EUROMOTORS. You may be happy the first few times, but if anything goes wrong during the repair it will be blamed on you and you'll be talked to and treated like an it. They have a horrible attitude and yes, until I said I'd cancel payment he had no intention of looking at the radio when told it didn't work. If it weren't for my husband I would have stopped that payment, but he talked me out of it, as I paid him for the work he did. He in turn made no offer of even meeting me half way on the radio that went out while he had it out of the console. I wonder if a wire could have been crimped when the radio and the entire console was removed? Again, I will end this as I am still very upset about this and am rambling. DO NOT USE BB'S EUROMOTORS AT 7400 Craft Goodman Rd, [redacted] MS XXXXX
