Company provided the consumer with a check

In response to the above Exteriors Unlimited crew did not think anything from our equipment had everhit Mrs***’s carIn fact, they never heard any debris or felt any vibration from our equipment thatcould have hit the carMr*** seems to have a different story about the whole
situation.What my understanding from the crew that services that particular client’s property is that they hadbeen mowing on the inside part of the propertyA lady pulled up to the mower and said that her carhad been hit from debris from the mowerShe mentioned that she had driven off and was returningafter dropping her children off at schoolWe have a written report in our personnel file of the incident.The employee contacted the office and made us aware of the situation.A little later in the morning, Mr*** called the office and spoke with my assistantShe mentionedthat when he called he stated “yes, you hit my wife’s car and I want to know how I will be reimbursedfor the damage”My assistant asked where the incident occurred and had the police been calledMr.*** said no the police and not been called and it happened when his wife was on the way to workMyassistant put Mr*** through to me.Mr*** stated to me that the incident occurred when she noticed when she got to work and sheheard a big bank on her car, yet did not stop or contact the police at the time that something hit her car.(Mrs*** said the incident occurred when she was taking her children to school and drove away fromthe incident without calling the police)Wouldn’t she have heard the bang and stopped On the policereport it claims that the ***’s said that two stones hit the car, how would they know, what hit the carand why didn’t she stop.Mr*** sent me an estimate for $1,from someone he said he likes to useHe had not evencontacted the police to file a report, but received an estimate firstMy question is this:Why did Mrs*** not stop if they claim the car was hit by something from our mower, thenleave the scene?My crew cannot understand how this could have happened when they never heard or sawanything, or the vehicleMr***’s story seems to changeMrs*** left the scene of an accident after hearing a loud bang and something hit her carThe ***’s never filed a police report until we told them to…ask why they did not call thepoliceI received an estimate for $1,from his preferred person to fix this dent from a stone froma lawn mower which is almost times higher from a legitimate cost from Mequon Body ShopA police report was filed after we asked why they did nonstop and call the police and get areport filedI asked Mr*** to get another estimate and they finally complied.I can understand that accidents happen, but after I talked with Mr*** and his story kept changing; ashe told me his wife noticed that something had happened when she got to work and how loud it waswhen it happened.I do not feel comfortable with this, and the way the price was so high on the first estimate compared tothe secondNot calling the police at the scene of the incident…leaving the scene and either driving thechildren to school or going to workMr*** mentioning and big bang and Mrs*** not mentioninga big bang to my crew.After talking to my foreman he feels very strongly that nothing came from our equipment.I have reservations paying this debt because of the many inconsistencies in both of their statements;Where it happenedNot stopping when the incident occurred, but continued on to either school or work in spite of aloud bangNot calling policeHow they could determine whether it was two stonesNever taking picture of damageHow the firs estimate could be times higher than the second, causing me to doubt their story.However, we are a reputable business and are upset by the allegations regarding usWe don’t want anincident like this to put a black mark on our reputation.We would like for you to investigate this further, and if you find this to be a legitimate claim, we wouldbe willing to send the ***’s a check
