I am rejecting this response because:This is a blatant lie as stated the driver only stated the tow would cost $400 never disclosed any other fees until arrival at our destination. Myself and my Fiancé argued with the driver when he changed the price because he never stated it before hand and if he did we wouldn't have used his service. we only had $400 which we obtained from the Sunocoatm because he doesn’t take debit/credit cards and we had to have him wait while myself and my mother drove to the bank to retrieve additional fundsI said well we don't have $565 because you said it was $400 and he said well that's the cost. I left my fiancé with the driver and my mother had to drive me to the bank to get more cash while they waited. Never did the driver state he needed to take an alternate route because of the snowy conditions as it was no longer snowing when we were driving. The driver stated “I’m taking this route to save you 10 miles” as the way he went was unfamiliar to me. During this route he got lost and added mileage onto our trip. Ultimately the odometer read59 miles which is 442.50 not 450.00. I was charged a total of $565 which is way over the $400 total I was quoted before my truck was loaded. Never did my fiancénor I state we were happy with any services as we were duped out of an additional $175 and pissed that we had to spend extra money that wasn’t disclosed by thedriver prior to tow.  It's obvious that this company has a shady business as they take longer routes and rounds up the mileage amount to increase the cost for their services and does not disclose all fees before loading vehicles, nor do they list the fees on the receipt, to scam the client during their time of need. I called the company on Monday and was told those are the fees by a representative named [redacted] as [redacted]n the manager was out for the day. I was also told the fees are on a case by case basis and I called during snowy conditions. I am requesting a reimbursement for the extra distance and undisclosed fee amount of $115 for a total of $175.00If I was pleased with my services I wouldn’t have disputed the drivers negligence, called to speak to the manager on Monday nor would I be requesting a refund or filing a complaint for this companies shady practices.

We received a call from the state police @ 2:41 on 2/22/15 to respond to a disabled vehicle at the sunoco station on the [redacted] during a snow storm. Upon arrival the driver advised the owner of the vehicle it would be $115 off the parkway or back to our shop (contracted rate). In which...

after they could have called the insurance company to come pick up their vehicle. The owner of the vehicle insisted that she just wanted her car towed home, at which point the driver informed her that it would be an additional $7.50 per mile one way. She agreed. The driver couldn't take the most direct route because of the snow storm and the commercial vehicle restrictions on certain New York State roads and highways. According to the driver the 2 passengers were happy and grateful to be home after breaking down during the snow storm.

Review: On 2/22/15 approx 1am my vehicle broke down at the Sunoco gas station located at [redacted]. I called my insurance for a tow to [redacted] and was quoted a price of $218. Unfortunately I was called back and told they couldn't set up the tow because the police has declared the highway restricted and that the police needed to set up the tow. I called [redacted] the number given by my insurance and scheduled a tow. It took a while for the tow to come so I planned on pushing my truck to a parking spot and leaving it till later in the day. When we proceeded to move my truck the tow truck arrived. we asked him what the cost would be he said $400 I said "you know where going to [redacted] right" he said "yes" I said "well how do u come to the cost of $400" he said "it was $7.50 a mile" I looked up the mileage which was 52 from the gas station to the address in Warwick which is $390. I decided to take the tow since it wasn't to much over what my insurance quoted me. My fiancé and I drove with the tow truck driver and my mother took my children in her car. Once on the road the tow truck driver took an alternate route which he claimed would save us 10miles, on this route he missed the on ramp and had to get on I-87 at a differnt location. Once we arrived his odometer said 59 miles which was more than the gps showed and not 10miles less like he stated. He then tells us we owe $565 I said you told us $400 he says well there is a $115 charge to get off parkway I said well you never disclosed that when I asked you the cost of tow before you loaded my truck and the odometer says 59 miles he said well sorry that's the cost and its 60miles. I said well we don't have $565 because you said it was $400 and he said well that's the cost. I left my fiancé with the driver and my mother had to drive me to the bank to get more cash while they waited.Desired Settlement: It's obvious that this company has a shady business as they take longer routes and rounds up the mileage amount to increase the cost for there services and does not disclose all fees before loading vehicles, nor do they list the fees on the receipt, to scam the client during there time of need.
