BCM Payroll Services Inc. Reviews (3)

May 30, 2014Dear [redacted],I am writing in response to your letter outlining [redacted]s complaints...

surrounding her experiences while a client of BCM. There are several pertinent facts which I will address individually belowhowever, I must first state that I and my employees have spoken with [redacted] on a few occasions. Each time we have behaved in a courteous and professional manner; however, in virtually every conversation my employees have had to deal with profane language and unprofessional behavior directed at them by [redacted], to the point that on some occasions my employees were authorized to terminate the conversations in a professional manner.Relevant Facts:• BCM Payroll Services Inc. began providing payroll services to this client on June 28, 2013, so the time frame is ten months versus the year as stated in the complaint,• Beginning in January 2014, client notified BCM Payroll the desire to begin prepaying invoices. This is not our normal business model; our normal policy is to have payment issued with each payroll processed and received by the client.o Client only prepaid for one month (January 2014); beginning in February, payments were received after the fact,o BCM Payroll was notified that the April payment was mailed on April 28, 2014 (this was after several phone calls attempting to garner information on the status of payment.o When payment was finally received, the envelope was postmarked May , 2014 and the check was drawn on an out-of-state bank.• During the interim, the decision was made to suspend the clients access to the Self-Service Access Portal until such time that payment had been received. It is important to note that the client still had access to their quarterly information as these reports were emailed as requested.• The checks were deposited on May , 2014 and on May 20, 2014, access to the online portal was restored. We waited two weeks to ensure the checks cleared our bank.• The client stated that since beginning services with BCM they have received three IRS notices concerning discrepancies with their payroll reporting. This is a true statement; however, it is not a complete statement. Two of the three notices were from time periods when they were with their former payroll provider. The mistake in question did carryover to our services; however, it involved erroneous information provided by the client. We resolved the issue for the former provider and the carry forward period. The third notice was due to a tax payment that was returned by their bank for reasons unknown to us, an issue that can only be attributable to the employer notto BCM Payroll.

Review: BCM has been doing our payroll for over a year, and within that time we have had at least 3 notices from the IRS for the wrong forms being filed with the IRS. this then resulted with penalties! We paid for there services one month ahead, so there wouldn't be any problems. When we went with a new accountant he wanted us to have payroll done directly through him, so we left BCM know we would be leaving as of May,1 just as we left them know we were leaving, we received another notice from the IRS, so we held the april payment to make sure they fixed the mistake before we left. At that point our quarterlies were due, so they told us we had to pay them for april before they submitted our quarterlies even though we had already paid them to do the quarterlies. So the new accountant said just to pay the IRS bill and penalties, so we could get the quarterlies submitted and pay BCM, so we could get our finished payroll, so nothing would fall behind. We then mailed the check for April to BCM, so we could go onto the BCM portal to print all our info that had been done for 2014, but they had shut it off so we couldn't access our records, and told us that we wouldn't get the info till the checks cleared in two weeks!!! One, the checks already cleared through our bank, but they told me that its there policy to wait two weeks before releasing our info!!! I feel that payroll and accounting firms should be prosecuted and there Lic. revoked for holding personal and business info from there clients. This is sensitive info, and should be considered theft!!!Desired Settlement: I want my records released and this placed on there record as poor business practices!!!
