Bct Midwest Inc Reviews (2)

Hello.First of all let me take a moment to thank every one in the bureau who have spent time on this matter. As a business manager, I would like to resolve this matter as soon as possible so I can concentrate on the business.Dec 1st Mr. [redacted] came to the store and dropped off his suit.Dec 3rd he...

picked up. Dec 5th Mr. [redacted] called the store and claimed that we had given him a wrong jacket.  The first thing that we did was apologized for the inconvenience that it cause to the customer, and we reassured him that if it was our mistake we will take care that for him.  He claimed that his suit is very expensive and cost about $500.00. This is the conversation between the clerk and Mr. [redacted]. I was told by the clerk about the incident.  I called Mr. [redacted] on Dec 7th and ask him some detail about the wrong jacket that he brought back to the store. I asked him what brand is your jacket? He answered "I don't know". Then I asked him when was the last time you wear that suit? He answered "I don't remember". Then he got angry and told me "don't go down that road". I told him, I just want to find down so I can go look for it. The conversation was last a minute or two, then he said he busy he don't want to talk, and he is going to call me back.Inside our store we have security camera.  I got on it and played back the day Mr. [redacted] came to the store to drop off. I watched the footage several time to see if it got mixed up with other people's drop off. I found nothing wrong.  When he dropped off, only his suit on the counter.  The clerk printed out the tags and tagged them right away.  One thing that make me believe the jacket Mr. [redacted] picked up is the one he dropped off is after he dropped off his suit he went over the interior pocket and checked the entire pockets to make sure nothing is left in there.  Once he doing that  the jacket is open and left the inside lining expose.  I saw the white care label of the jacket was sewn on at the seam of the lining.  This is very unique. I went out side and looked at the jacket that he brought back. I saw the care label on his jacket locate exactly the one in the video. After that I went over entire store and look inside every man jacket that I have in the inventory. I found all of them have the care label sewn on and hidden inside interior pocket.  Only [redacted] brand has tags sewn on the seam. I am talking a men's jacket.Mr. [redacted] called me back few days later. it is Dec 10.  He told me that he found out the brand of his jacket is [redacted] and the last time he wore it was his father in law funeral.  I begged him to come down to the store and look at the video he told me he busy he doesn't want to waste his time. I told him "if you could not come I will save it on a flash drive and drop it off at your house so you can take a look".  He told me I could tamper with the video. Finally, he agree to go back to the store to take a look at the video. He told me nothing is going to change his mind. He said after he watch the video he expects to walk out with the money.  we went over the video and explained to him  what we saw and what we believed. At this time he told us the price of his suit is $400.00, but he bought it on sale for $250.00 and after 3 years, he want us to pay him $200.00.With the evidence that we have, we know we have done nothing wrong in this incident.  Mr. [redacted] could be up set, angry, and he would do anything to ruin our reputation.  Our reputation could not be bought or sold. We earn it with our hard work. Our business is always operate base on honest and integrity.  Over time customers have given us a highest rating in the area.At this point all the evidences is still preserved. If you need anything, I mean anything please don't hesitate to call me or email me.  If Mr. [redacted] want to pursue this case, I will provide everything I have to him. The jacket, the video are crucial for this case. If he can prove the jacket in the video doesn't match with the jacket he picked up. We will reimburse the full value of the suit plus the time that he spend on this and any cost associate with this.  With the right tool, the right software it is not that hard to identify the jacket in the video. Respectfully,[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. [Thank you for sending me the response of the owner.  He mostly has the facts right, but his tone is unwarranted and actually a perfect example of why this matter has me so upset. As he states, at first they were apologetic and I thought we were all set.  He claims I was saying my suit was expensive, I'm not sure I'd consider $500 particularly expensive, I also never said that was the price, I said that was my memory of the value but that I would need to look into it.  After reflection, my best guess was that I paid $250 for the suit because it was on sale at [redacted].  I want to focus on the phone call he gave me.  He called me and began grilling me about "what brand is your suit, when did you last wear it, etc.."  As indicated, this is not information I knew off the top of my head. Also, this was during work hours.  I was expecting to hear they had found my jacket or I should stop by to pick up money, I did not expect and was not prepared for an interrogation while I was busy at work. Who knows their suit brand off the top of their head at every moment? At first I told him I thought it was from [redacted] when in fact I later remembered it was [redacted] (the one at Downtown Crossing, who can tell box stores apart :) ).  There are a few reasons this was not a pleasant phone call.  First and foremost was the accusatory tone.  Up to this point, I had been very chill about what had been a very frustrating experience.  I discovered I had the wrong suit at a wedding, I was the only person at the wedding without a jacket, but hey, not a big deal.  All of this is to say that when the tone of the business changed abruptly from "we will make this right" to "I think you are lying" I was incredulous.  As the owner indicates the video shows me looking through the pockets of the jacket when I dropped it off.  I would have noticed immediately if it were not my jacket.  He claims that "only [redacted] suits have a white tag"  That is ridiculous.  I can neither confirm nor deny whether or not [redacted] suits also have a white tag on the inside, but I find it impossible to believe [redacted] has the monopoly on that design element.  He again brings up the price.  Look, I have no idea what I paid for the suit.  It was years ago, at [redacted] and I used gift cards that my mother gave me + some cash I had on me, so I had 200 in gift cards and I know there was cash involved.  500 was the max I thought the suit was worth, but I never said thats what it was, nor did I say 400.  I eventually told him (as I stated here) that my best guess was 250, and that I was willing to negotiate since the suit was old.  I want resolution here and the money is less of a big deal to me than the accusation/lying/failing to take responsibility.  I have a good job, the money isn't issue.  I even suggested to him that he can give the money to a charity if this is personal and he doesn't want me to have it, that's fine.  If his theory is that I am trying to scam him out of money, then give it to orphans or something.  Again this isn't about money, this about respect.   I gave this man my suit and he gave me back someone else's.  To me, a video that shows a white tag is not enough evidence to convince me that I had the wrong suit.  As he indicated the last time I remember wearing the suit was my grandfather-in-law's funeral.  I did not take off my jacket at that, and there would have been no one that I can think of that I would have been able to switch with.  Not to mention I looked through my jacket pockets for personal effects.  Ultimately, this guy has let his suspicion dictate his actions and his rude and unwarranted accusations are ridiculous. First he screwed up and lost my jacket, and then he called me a liar to my face.  I am very disturbed by his response.  I hope that the Revdex.com can do something because I feel very powerless in this situation.  ]
Regards,
[redacted]
