Hired for remodeling work and paid half deposit. Job abandoned and had to hire someone else to complete.
Paid deposit $1150 on 4/25/2020. Requested $400 refund for incomplete work and have been ignored. Paid another contractor $625 to complete same project. Was willing to give him $750 more than fair price for his work. Leaving $400 refund due for incomplete work.

I am an 84-year-old, lifelong resident of Huntersville. On July 26, 2018, I signed the enclosed contract with BD Contractor Services. Through the years, I have hired this contractor to perform work on both of my homes in Huntersville. Services, which totaled approximately $12,000, were satisfactorily rendered...until July 2018. After only completing half of the work for the first project (French Drain Location), I relentlessly called the contractor in 2018. I continued trying to reach the contractor all of last year (XXXX) but to no avail. I can't leave a message and cannot get a response via email. I am retired and on a fixed income. I cannot afford to lose 100% of the fees ($4,000) that I paid upfront.
