BBC and [redacted] On the 1st of june after a site briefing, [redacted] and I sat down and went into a budget meeting which included the details of how [redacted] was to be paid, and [redacted] dollars an hour was both agreed upon, and he would work for hours a dayHowever I had anticipated paying tax but was told [redacted] dollars cash would be fineOn the 2nd of June [redacted] came to me and asked for an advance of [redacted] dollars to pay his employee [redacted] ( last name unknown)I went to the bank and withdrew the moneys and promptly paid himOn the 9th of june [redacted] asked to be paid for the work done up to date and as [redacted] worked and hrs days this was a reasonable requestI again went to the bank and withdrew [redacted] dollars as the amount that he had requested and worked and gave it to himI also asked if he had paid his employee [redacted] and he advice me that he did not and told me all the money was put into his bank account..as I felt bad for his employee for not getting paid and the hard work and effort in his part I gave [redacted] dollarsAfter I saw and evaluated the progress of the project I decided to let [redacted] goHowever my retaining wall was not started and my house was still in Danger, as the embankment was still near collapseI asked [redacted] and [redacted] if it was possible to start, if not complete the retaining wallHe informed me that he would, if I paid him for the day, I told him that I would and at the end of the day and a half build retaining wall later(Pictures available upon request) I paid him [redacted] dollars as we sat on the remaining blocks in my yardNow as My bank record can show my withdraws, his should show a depositAll and All [redacted] worked for a period of days on this project and was fairly compensated for his work...As well as the retaining wall, anchors and the embankment was completed by myself and a skilled excavator operator in hours, it was then inspected and passed by the environmental office in Fredericton NB ( pictures available upon request) Having served in the Military both in this country and on many deployment for years, I do not have the unlimited legal and financial resources that [redacted] hasMoreover, all I have is an oath that I took to conduct myself in an ethical and moral capacity while in the militaryThat oath did not expire upon my retirementAs [redacted] is aware, My wife is on sick leave for lung cancer and given the limitation of my work as truck driver and limited pension from the Military, this has come at a great financial loss and stressful outcome for my family If [redacted] wishes to pursue this matter in a court of law, I will entertain his requestHowever, As [redacted] is again aware, that given the financial situation and strain that he has put myself and my family in, I do not any longer have the legal and financial resources required to pursue this matter in a court of lawtherefore if found guilty by a judge of defrauding [redacted] I will accept and proceed to a certain term of incarceration, as not to bring more financial stress to my family as this is the most ethical and moral, not to mention the right think to do I am also asking [redacted] as a business owner serving the community and the public to act in an ethical and moral manner and put an end to the stress and hardship he has and is causing my family and put this matter to rest once and for all Sincerely Yours
