Sent: Thursday, July 14, 2016 7:54 PM Subject: Fwd: Revdex.com complaint ID [redacted]             My name is Justin G[redacted], the son of Dan G[redacted], and partner of Dan’s Tree Service. I personally dealt with Mr. [redacted] from start to finish. He contacting...

us regarding needing a quote to trim some trees. Since he lives roughly 1 mile from my house, I was the one to meet with him to discuss what his needs were, and to provide him with the free estimate. We agreed to meet on March 19th around 9 am for the estimate. I went to his house and he showed me around to the back yard where all the tree work was to be performed. We discussed, in detail, each tree and what his needs were for each tree.              First, Mr. [redacted] wanted his Live Oak trees trimmed back away from his house, so that they would not break off, or damage his house with the winds/storms that we frequently receive here. We even agreed on an exact location on a specific limb to use at a guideline to where all the trees were to be trimmed back to.              Secondly, he wanted specific limbs (the heavy ones) cut back away from going over his fence towards his neighbors. He said that he did not want them falling on their house or damaging their fences.              Next, he wanted the canopy of a specific Live Oak tree raised up to a certain level, so that more sunlight could reach his ground and grass. We pointed out exact limbs that were to be taken off, as well as an exact location to where the canopy would be raised to.              Lastly, he wanted a few specific c[redacted] limbs taken off from his large Water Oak tree that were going into his neighboring Live Oak tree. He was worried about them being damaged or them damaging the neighboring tree since they were intertwined with the neighboring tree.              This was the full extent of our conversation as to what he wanted completed, along with why. I always ask the person why they are wanting each branch taken off just in case they are wanting it off for a wrong reason. I try to keep the health of each tree in check when doing the work.              I gather all the information first, and then I walk the client over the entire job again and discuss in detail the entire job and then provide them with my estimate on that agreed work. I walked Mr. [redacted] over the entire job and pointed out exact limbs and discussed why he was wanting them off. This ensures that we are completely on the same page. I do this with all my estimates. I gave him my price for the work I just went over with him and he said thank you and that he would let me know his decision later.             On the morning of Monday, March 21st, [redacted] contacted me to set up for us to complete the work for the agreed $800 on Thursday, March 24th. That same night, he contacted me saying that he just found out that there was a high chance for rain on Thursday. Thursday came and passed and we did not do the work due to not having the “go ahead” from Mr. [redacted]. He contacted me on Saturday, March 26th, and asked me if we worked weekends, I told him no. He asked me how my scheduled looked for the following week. I said that Monday is free since it was the only day that did not have rain in the forecast. He got back with me on Sunday, March 27th, and gave me the “go ahead” to complete the work the next day, Monday, March 28th. I personally cut every limb myself from each tree to ensure I did exactly what we agreed on.             I messaged him Monday evening letting him know that we were able to complete the agreed work that day. This is where everything started to turn sour. He messaged me saying that I had missed limbs that were shading his fruit trees. I immediately said that I would be right over. Once I got there, I asked him if he remembered our conversation when I gave him the estimate, he said yes. I asked him if he remembered me asking specifics on why he wanted each limb down, he said yes. I then told him that he never once mentioned any limbs shading his fruit trees. He agreed that he did not mention anything about limbs shading his fruit trees. In his text message, he said that he mentioned branches shading his fruit trees. This is where he contradicted himself and was trying to get additional work done for free that was not agreed upon. I tried to explain to him that we did not even discuss the fruit trees, so how could we have discussed the very large limbs over them that he was now saying he wanted off. He did not have an answer for me. He persisted on trying to have me come back out to do the additional work for free, but what he was requesting was entirely too much work to              We do not like to have upset customers, by any means. I go above and beyond time after time to ensure our clients are happy. This time, however, he was requesting way too much to be done, that was not agreed upon. I told him that I wanted him to be happy, but what he was requesting was way too much. I told him that I would work with him on the price and only charge $50 to complete the additional work, which normally would cost around $150-200. He said no that he would not pay me any more and that he did not want me on his property anymore.              He was sent the invoice for the completed work and we received a check for $800. He continuously contacted me after this demanding that we come back to do the additional work and threatened a negative review with the Revdex.com. He threatened talking to his lawyer and threatened to check his home cameras to “see what we were up” while we were on his property. Through all the threats Mr. [redacted] has sent, we do not feel comfortable, or safe, dealing with him. He comes ac[redacted] as being very unstable and erratic. At this point, I am at a loss for words on how we could do anything else to resolve this issue.              Please feel free to contact me directly at this e-mail address, or contact me personally on my cell phone at [redacted]. We value our exemplary reputation, as well as our business with the Revdex.com, and would love to hear how this can be resolved. Thank you.   Justin G[redacted] (713) 298 9267 Dan’s Tree Service
