I was lied to by [redacted] the salesman who got me thereIt is a nasty old buikding, and is nothing like they describe to get you thereHaving said that it did help me and it does get better once your there for a while the staff is what saved my life shout out to ki ki and Mr [redacted] and Mr [redacted] I am alive because of them

Although my experience at BDR helped me learn alot about myself, their program is scientology based, regardless of what they say, and not at all adequate to help an addict or alcoholic recover and live a happy life The program consists of sitting in a chair and staring at someone else for sometimes hours at a time, yelling commands at ashtrays, and forcing your "twin" to look, walk over to, and touch a wallYou circulate thru these "training routines" everyday you are there, inbetween absurd book work from things based on LRon Hubbard, the founder of scientology, who they have pictures of up on the walls, and watching videos about the evils of anti depressants or other anti psychotic drugs for mental illnessAnd dont even get me started on the bullbaiting, where youre instructed to say anything to get a reaction from the other person, than repeat it over and over until the "button is flattened"Listen, I dont think that there is only one right way to approach recovery, and I am not saying that this is bad because it is unconventional, but in the years ive spent in recovery since leaving this place everything I have learned and applied and seen work in everyone around me contradicts everything BDR teachesIt would be one thing if I thought their ignorance was innocent, but I think they are liars and totally aware they misrepresent themselvesEven while I was in there the staff denied the program being scientology based or a narconon program, which is still laughable to me todayI dont give a *** if they want to deny it because its controversial, look at the evidenceI truly believe some of the staff wanted to help people, but over all I honestly cant believe this place is even still openI would never let a loved one go there, and everyone I tell the stories too are blown awayI could go on and on about crazy things I witnessed and experienced while I was thereThey will tell you anything they have to to get you there, than make it very difficult for you to leave...like they will literally chase you down and drag you back if you try to runThis place and owner should probably be prosecuted, I still dream about my time in ***Go to *** or ***, best drug rehab is not the place youll find hope

This was the most awful experience of my life! I went in because I smoked marijuana occasionally and then had a problem when I was handed prescription antidepressants and anxiety meds from my doctorI let them get the best of me and feeling hopeless I called BDRThey were quick to assure me my insurance covered 100% and had me on a plane within hoursThe place was filthy, run down, and not at all what was advertised! Once detox was completed and then transferred to the rehab center it was even worse! The facility was treated as nothing more than a party house! I was never so thankful in my life for my loved ones who helped me get out, as I checked myself in, but they would not allow me to check myself out
