Review: My son with special needs attended this child care facility. We experienced multiple reports of "unacceptable" and "bad behavior and choices" that he made secondary to his special needs. We managed some of the behavior and thought he was doing well at the center. It was reported to the individual that drops him off in the morning and picks him up that during a field trip that day our son had bad behavior and was not allowed to go on the next field trip. The center did not communicate this information to us (his parents). He was dropped of on the next field trip day and was told he could not attend. As parents we had no idea this situation was going to arise because we were never properly informed. I was then told that they were sorry the Drop off and pick up person was "not responsible enough to relay the message" and that "maybe we should not leave your child with someone like that." I was told that they did not inform us of the situation because we "must be too busy to be with your kids." We were then informed that our drop off and pick up person was rude today and no longer allowed in the facility. I informed the facility that my child would no longer attend because he would not have transportation. I was informed that I needed to provide a two weeks notice if I was going to end services, which under the circumstances should be waived. I was very disappointed with customer services I received as a paying customer who wants nothing more than safe and adequate child care for my son.Desired Settlement: I would like the company to waive the two week notice as they did not communicate important information with me or my husband and we are not able to find alternative transportation to the center and no longer feel comfortable with the childcare or customer service.

As our Family Handbook states, "we are committed to providing a safe environment for children and staff." In an effort to protect children from injury, close attention is paid to providing safe physical surroundings. This includes when we are on a field trip. When the child in question was enrolled, it was brought to the guardian's attention that if there was ever a concern of safety while on a field trip, we would require a family chaperone.The grandmother who was one of the guardians, and who dropped off most of the time, was who the teachers communicated with daily. She was made aware that a chaperone would be necessary on the next field trip due to the child's recent behavior and for safety reasons. When she attempted to drop the child off without a chaperone the next day, she was reminded of the discussion the day before the trip. The other guardian, Ms. [redacted] felt that there was a lack of communication and was unhappy with the situation.We feel that the grandmother who was the main person dropping off had a lack of communication with Ms. [redacted]. Our policy clearly states that a two week notice is required, but in light of the situation, we waived the two week notice. We feel that we were being fair and reasonable since we had communicated clearly what would be required in order for the child to attend the field trip.Please call me personally if you have any questions.
