This business has charged my account after I have given my notice of cancellation. They have failed to answer any of my communications.I signed up for the gold package at Beach Bumz tanning salon in March. This package was a year contract at around $30 a month for unlimited tanning. The terms of the contract stated that after four months I could put in a 30 day notice and have my account shut down. My husband and I moved out of state with the military in July and so July 1 I was able to put in that 30 day notice, and I did. On August 1, we were charged again. When I attempted to contact the business, they did not answer. I continued trying to contact them at the number on their website ([redacted]) and to my surprise I began hearing a recording informing me that the person I was trying to contact had blocked my number. I did not know that a business could do that. The phone was never answered in the many attempts I made. I left two messages urgently asking the owner to return my call. I resorted to [redacted] and sent a message. I did get a reply asking what the owner could do for me. After I explained my problem I did not, and have not, received a reply.Desired SettlementI simply want the automatic drafts discontinued and the August charge refunded.Consumer Response I had given notice 30 days prior to the next billing cycle. I gave my notice the morning of July 1st but during this process I have been informed that my notice was not filed until the 2nd of July. There are 31 days in July so the 2nd would still be 30 days prior. The main issue is that there was a complete lack of customer service. Not only did I not get a response until two months after my initial failed contact, but my phone number was also blocked. According to the owner "phone system will block calls automatically if you call numerous times a day."As far as the $50 fee for cancelling early, the promotion they offered me said that the fee would be waived as long as four months were paid for. Of course that is my mistake for not having that in writing on my contract.
