Poorly managed company Beach' Destin Renters Beware!
After renting condo unit 606 at Surfside Resort from Beach'n Destin me and my family arrived on Saturday June 16. The unit is decorated very nicely and seems fine upon first glance . After returning from the grocery store we start noticing several roaches in the bathroom and Kitchen . I try to reach Stacy the owner of Beach'n Destin it is 7:30-8:00pm by this time and I call multiple times only to get her voice mail I leave several messages. I tried the other numbers on our rental papers for maintenance and housekeeping with no response either. My youngest is in tears by this time and wants to sleep in the car we have seen so many roaches 30-40 . At about 11:30pm Stacy calls me back and says her and her husband can bring a couple cans of Raid to spray but it will be about an hour before they can get there. My husband waits up on them after driving all day and only getting 4 hours sleep. The next morning roaches are still coming out of the kitchen sink and on the counters and our Refrigerator is not working after I spent $175.00 on food the day before. They said because it was Sunday there was nothing they could do . They would not get us an exterminator to take care of Roaches or repair man for the Refrigerator until Monday. We could not live with the Roaches any longer to many to count and our food was spoiling. They said they would refund our rental and we could find somewhere else to stay. Destin was only 98% Booked and we were staying at this Resort with other family members who were in another condo. After they and we spoke with the front desk at Surfside Resort a different rental company there were 2 additional condos available at a higher rental rate which when we asked Stacy and her husband at Beach'n Destin if they were going to cover the extra cost since the condo we rented from them was unfit they refused. This is mid day on Sunday and me nor my husband have been able to enjoy our vacation yet have to pack everything up and move to a Different condo that thankfully was bug free and had a working Refrigerator . We did have to pay more for 6 nights than we did for 7 nights. Please beware of this company I don't want any other Families to have to deal with what we had to.
We would like to at least be compensated for the additional cost we had to pay for the other rental and or the 2 days we lost on vacation.

We attempted to find a pest control company to come out both after hours on Saturday and on Sunday. There was nobody that could come out that weekend. We contacted the Surfside HOA, and we were informed in an e-mail that yes the property was sprayed for pests earlier that week. The previous guest did not complain of any roaches or any issues with the refridgerator, so we were not aware of any issue until it was reported Saturday night. We did everything the guest asked of us on Saturday. We drove an hour out to Surfside to spray with an off the shelf roach spray. The husband was accepting of this solution that night. We were then once again called the next morning complaining that there were still roaches. We contacted the only pest control company open on Sunday, and they could not get anyone out on Sunday. I informed the customer that pest control was the responsibility of the Surfside HOA, and that we could not get any pest control out until Monday. This was not an acceptable solution so we offered a FULL refund, and we contacted another property management company to get availability options. We as a company were now already out commission, credit card fees, and housekeeping fees due to giving a full refund along with the owner being out a Summer week of rent. We got the customer in contact with other options. I told the customer that there was nothing else we could do, and that we did everything in our power to help them. If they could have given us one day to get a pest control vendor and an appliance repair solution out to the unit, we would have had both issues fixed, but they were not willing to give us that opportunity. I personally delivered a refund check to them on Sunday along with allowing them access to the unit to search for items left behind. There is nothing I would change with how we handled what was a bad situation for all parties involved.

We could not wait another day for a pest control or appliance repair vendor to come out. We did not want to have roaches crawling all over us or getting in our luggage. We could not even eat in the condo it was so disgusting, not to mention the 175.00 worth of groceries I had bought on Saturday would have gone completely bad by Monday our ice cream was already melted. The condo was infested with Roaches and we have several pictures to prove it regardless of what the previous renters encountered. The fact of the matter is you poorly manage your company with little regard for your clients feelings. I know you had to drive an hour that night and the next day you made that perfectly clear it was an inconvenience to spray some raid which did not work that is why we called you back the next day. We lost a day and a half vacation because of your poor management and had to pay extra due to having to scramble to find last minute accommodation's because of it. It Definitely was a Bad situation.
Rented a Condo at Surf Side Beach Resort from this Company 4/11/18
Did everything that Beach 'n Destin requested and even more in order to receive the $200 Deposit back. As of 5/15/18 Still haven't received deposit back. Called their phone number no answer . Left message . No call back.
