I attended my first meeting yesterday with Dr Andrea [redacted]. She conducted a battery of tests to determine the severity of my hearing difficulties. I explained to Dr [redacted] that my biggest concerns were when attending an event such as church services or a busy restaurant, etc.
Dr. [redacted] set the needed tests which showed the best instrument to choose. She proceeded to fit one in my left ear which have been idled for 7 years and another one in my right ear. Then Wham! I could hear again like in the olden days_or shall I say, my younger days?
Unfortunately my credit worthiness did not measure up to the cost of these great hearing aids. Dr [redacted] offered traded-in hearing aids for a fraction of the cost o a new pair. I'm in the process of ordering them today and have them ready for fitting at a later date.
I have been seen Audiologists before with varying degrees of satisfaction. I think that The Hearing Health Center of Houston,blows them away. It took me awhile to get there from Tomball about 40 miles NW of Houston, but believe me, it was worth the trip.
