Review: As a part of the Beach Blast soccer event in Wildwood NJ on July 18-20, my family and I were very excited to enjoy the beach and the amenities of The Beach Terrace Motor Inn. On the website the Inn is described as " Wildwood's Family Resort, offers the finest accommodations and the finest value for the perfect family vacation." When we arrived at the motor inn in the afternoon of July 18 and immediately upon entering the room there was a smell of urine. The bathroom shower curtain was moldy and discolored and the room looked as though it had not been cleaned properly. Upon laying down after our drive, my husband and I discovered a wet spot in the bed that smelled of urine. I was shocked that this would have not been noticed had the sheets been cleaned properly. There was another bed in the room and so we went to move to that bed and upon pulling back the sheets discovered food crumbs and hair littering the sheets. This is completely unsanitary and unhealthy living conditions. We were paying 200.00 per night for this room! I went to the front desk and advised them of the problem to which they offered me "plastic to put over the wet stains on the bed." That is not customer service and that is not something I would expect from advertising of "finest accommodations". I was also asked if the spot was "wet" or merely a stain. I advised that I would be leaving the establishment and was told that I would not be given a refund even tho my time there with my family was not even exceeding an hour at this point. For $600.00 for a three day stay I have never been more dissatisfied with the service or the care that I was given. This was not family friendly, this was actually a health department risk. I was not offered other accommodations, or even partial refund for this inconvenience. My family and I are not people to complain, however as a nurse and active in healthcare this was completely unacceptable. They should be ashamed to advertise themselves with such falsificationDesired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for this stay. Completely reimbursed. I felt as though I was held there by the amount that we had spent that they were not willing to refund. I am sad that I even have to get to this point as to file a formal complaint however if this would help a family in the future to not be fooled by the pictures and words on the website then I know that I did the right thing. I have never filed a complaint like this and actually shy away from confrontation in most cases but there is something profoundly wrong with this. I feel scammed and I felt trapped and would never ever give my hard earned money to an establishment that would treat paying customers with such carelessness.

Jennifer Hoff was staying at our hotel during Beach Blast Weekend. During this time, she came to the front desk only once to mention that she had found a wet spot on her bed sheets. She did not make a complaint, nor was the spot verified. We only offer plastic sheets when a family has young children or when a customer has a urinary disorder. At no time did she complain about the cleanliness of the room. She also did not make any complaint regarding her air conditioner during her stay. Her claims of the room smelling like urine or of mold are totally false. If she was dissatisfied with the condition of her room upon checking in, she could have asked the front desk to stay in another room OR she could have been provided with a refund if she decided not to stay upon checking in. She elected to stay in her hotel room for the entire length of her stay without any complaints.

I did make a complaint at the front desk, at which time I was offered plastic sheets. Within 1 hour of checking in, we wanted to check out with a full refund. I was told that I could try to find an opening at one of their sister motels, would you want to stay at a sister motel when the one we we were checked into was so bad?? I requested a full refund and was told that was not a possibility. The manager then offered to exchange the mattress and bring new sheets... Maintain emcee did come and exchange the mattress, and I watched the maintainence men observe the wet urine - so it was most definitely verified. At this point, we had at least one bed to sleep in. With no possibility of a refund and over $550.00 invested we had no choice but to stay and make the best of it. I would love for the Revdex.com to make a reservation and stay a night. It is evident the owner takes no pride in this motel. Completely disgusted.
