These types of complaints, though rare, are certainly sad for my staff and I. We are blessed to have employees who live on property so there is always someone available 24xto respond to guest in need of any help of any kind. If a guest doesn't call us or drop by the office to
tell us, we don't have an opportunity to address there issues immediately so they can get back to enjoying their vacation. Doubly frustrating is that the unit they stayed in is a beautiful unit and located very near my General Manager's unit. Please note the email from my GM just after the guest decided to leave early.Like all places in Port A, we do not provide refunds typically for early departures and clearly communicate this to our guests. Though when a guest expresses a need based on family emergency of some kind we try very hard to accommodate a refund of their unused days...which is what we did for this guest. I do not find this guest's complaint to have any merit and will not be providing any additional refunds. He was here and everything was fine- office camera can see that! I had a long conversation with him!! The 2nd day he came in saying he may have to leave early and wanted to know how much he would get back if he didI gave him the total for each day if he left early. He said thank you and leftThe next day, I'm walking my dog @4pm and he said he had an emergency and had to leaveHe looked distraught/shaken to me. Everything was fine, until todaySomeone dropped off his guest survey and a letter stating he was unhappy and is calling the Revdex.com to dispute his charge. He said he took pictures of thingsHe was in that condo days! Who knows when he took them- They never once called the office asking for assistance with anything. I've already checked on the maintenance issues to confirm that both futons are in fact working. The outlet in the bathroom is working. The patio door lock is working. There is a raised tile on the floor in the bedroom that we reset, but certainly not a safety hazard. As to housekeeping issue, the room was cleaned and inspected prior to cheand since we never received any calls and the couple of times I ran into them they seemed like they were having fun, Naturally, we'd have been happy to go clean & re-clean whatever they needed. So sad. All I can figure is they are wrangling to get a free stay for the three days they were here having fun. Give me a shout when you get a minute. I am rejecting this response because: The response from Beach Gate is exactly what I expected . First , to think that I came all the way from Illinois to get a couple days free vacation is appalling ( having to spend another 900.00 plus dollars just up the road to stay in a clean facility is far from trying to receive a free vacation . The reason this was not addressed face to face upon our complete disappointment is because of a possible confrontation - with accusations such as trying to receive a free vacation I made the correct choice in addressing with the Revdex.com and not a face to face with the on site manager. Accusations that we dirtied the unit to the level of filth we found it are again absurd , my photos were taken the morning after our first nights stay ( July 23 ) and we arrived late on ( July 22. ) I have vacationed every year in and have never experienced this type of filth in a rental unit nor been accused of trying to a get free stay - I work hard for my family and expect at best a descent room when I spend my hard earned money. I am still seeking a full refund of the remaining balance of 685.02. Trying to send pics and videos - possibly to follow because of time limit
