INQUIRY REVIEWIn preparing this response time has been taken to review written documents and to interview thecompany staff members or other people who may have knowledge of this matter.Please be advised that the recollections of the staff and records differ from facts alleged by thecomplainantHere is what I have learned:ADVERTISING: The Complainant located the Company by reviewing one or more of the Company'swebsites, or other advertising websites and that they hen contacted the Company concerning lodgingaccommodationsCompany websites explain the Company's properties and their various features.TERMS: Each website carries a complete listing of the Company's Terms and Conditions and usersof the websites are bound to those terms.REGISTRATION: Guests who register on the Company's websites can only do so by approving theterms and conditions.BOOKING INFORMATION: On the day of 04/17/the Guest agreed to purchase the Lodging fromthe Company with the first date of the agreed upon occupancy was 04//15.GUEST AGREEMENT: Company delivered a Booking Confirmation Contract, including our Termsand Conditions which the Guest signed and returned indicating their understanding and approval ofsuch terms.CHECK-IN: Homes are free-standing and often located away from the Company's office or personnel.Therefore, guests are required to cheand out with the Company by phoneWe have no recordthat the Guest ever checked in.CHECKLIST: To insure that the property is acceptable upon arrivalGuests are given and are tocomplete a checklist confirming that the property was in proper condition upon arrivalThe guest didnot forward the guest list to the Company, which would have alerted the Company if anything wasunacceptable.OCCUPANCY: The checklist invites the guest to contact the Company if anything on the checklist orin the property is amissWe have no record that the guests telephoned the Company with a complaintduring their occupancy.CHECK-OUT: Guests are to telephone the Company and provide notice they are departingTheGuest did not do so.DEPARTURE: After the Guest's scheduled departure date, the housekeeper noted that the home hadindeed be used as arranged and occupied by the Guest as arrangedThe guest did not notify thecompany if they departed early.DAYS ALTER: After using the home for several days, the day after departure the guest emailed theCompany office alleging concerns with the home.LETTER: The Company sent a letter indicating they would look into the matter further
INQUIRY: The Company determined the following information:- The waterways on the lot line of the house are common to all homes in the beach areas.- Rainfall from the roof is directed down and into the waterways for drainage.- There has never been a flood at the home.- Guest are advised to arrived between 5pm and 6pm and homes are aired out regularly and prior toguest arrivals- No mold was found in the house, which is a typical beach cabin but visited regularly by the ownersand well kept by them.-As in most homes, carpets are indeed replaced periodicallyIn this home it has not been veryrecently but the are in good condition.- The guest's allergies are indeed regrettable but beyond the manager's ability to anticipate and noprior guests had reported any such problem.- Because did not contact the Company during their stay, and choose to use the house for the fullbooking, a refund was not issued.OCCUPANTS: This home has been used by many satisfied guests both before and after thecomplainants stayThey understand it is a common beach cabin but any guest is welcome to call andvoice concerns upon arriving.COURTESY: Although the Company believed the Guest's complaint wa excessive, as a courtesythe Company did forward a partial voucher to the Guest, which can be used for a future stay in manyof the properties available through the Company.CONCLUSION:For the record, *** from Revdex.com, her extension ***, called Beachy Day disclosing that Revdex.com hadsent the complaint to an address that had not been used for yearsShe was given a correct localaddress and a required mailing addressIf there was a delay in responding, the problem was theRevdex.com's record keeping and not the Company's.Based on the records and recollection of staff members and the above information no further refundwill be issued.This concludes the investigation of the matter and we are closing the file at this timeIf your decisiondoes not align with ours, you are welcome to inquire again by U.SMail.Unless you respond to this letter, the matter will be considered closed and satisfiedBut we do askthat you notify us of the same within days of the date of this letter
