Review: Beacon Signs/[redacted] sold me multiple "banner" and "blade" signs for my new business that he assured me were compliant with zoning ordinances and (verbally) guaranteed quality of workmanship and that he would "stand behind his work." After placement, the blade signs began showing immediate and significant signs of wear and they began to fall down. Examination showed them to be built with sharp edging that cut/frayed the signs and with questionable structural support for the sign weight. I was then contacted by County Zoning, who informed me that the signs were not in compliance with local zoning ordinances and they mandated removal of several the signs. My office is located only a few miles from Beacon signs office, so [redacted] should have been very familiar with the local regulations. The remaining sign that I was allowed to keep then broke completely. I put it back together as best I could using parts from the other signs, but it still falls down on a regular basis. Similar signs at adjacent businesses have not exhibited any of the problems of this nature. I contacted [redacted] about the problems and he stated (in writing) that he would provide alternate signage, free of charge, that conveyed the required information and met zoning requirements. From that point on, he absolutley ignored my calls and emails for the next several months. The alternate signage was never provided. My project manager was able to reach [redacted] a single time and was told that [redacted] was "too busy" and that he "didn't feel like talking to me" because I "wasn't as important as his other clients." All further calls and emails by my project manager have also been ignored. Signage was a key aspect of getting my business off the ground, and lack of attention in this matter has hurt my business.Desired Settlement: As stated, I have made MULTIPLE attempts by both phone and email to reach Beacon Signs/[redacted] and (re)open communications to amicably resolve the the problem. I have left messages stating that I was very willing to try to work something out, and have been completely ignored. At this point, I am thoroughly disgusted with [redacted]/Beacon Signs, and would just like my money back for the 3 blade signs ($510) so that I may obtain compliant signage elsewhere.
