Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below It took over months to get you to accept that you were incorrect in calling our numberAfter several attempts by my wife and myself to explain the situation, to be hung up on by your associates, can not be resolved by your "oopsie! Our bad" answerI requested to speak to a supervisor multiple times, only to be told that none were availableI made requests to have the supervisors call me directly, they never did I emailed the statement that one of your associates instructed me to, you try to get your company to stop calling, only to be followed by more phone callsPerhaps this matter seems resolved to you by saying oopsieI feel that you and every one of your employees disrespected my wife and myselfMaybe if one single person would have taken the time to listen to us when we tried to explain that your company was incorrect, this whole ugly situation would have been avoided How would you like to handle that? Regards, [redacted]

Unfortunately because we did not have your up to date address on file, the check was sent to the last address you had placed on your accountThe check was sent to that address via certified mailAgain, by law we must mail all correspondence to the address you have placed on your accountThe post office then held it for almost days at their officeThey do this to allow the addressee a certain amount of time to pick up the certified mail itemThe check has since been returned to our officeWe have spoken with you, and have you scheduled to come and pick up your check on February 28th,

Ms [redacted] , You can speak to a manager in the ARD department by calling [redacted] We will transfer your call to the manager in charge of that department so that you can further discuss your accountThere is some discrepancy on the amount you are stating you have already paid back on your loanWe would also be more than happy to furnish you with a payment history that will show the actual amount paid back on the loan to date, which is much lower than the number you have statedUnfortunately, because we were unable to reach you during most attempts, because we were unable to secure payment to bring your account current, your account was placed into further collections and eventually the collateral was repossessedSeveral attempts were made to speak to you about your account options, several calls were made daily to attempt to bring the account current before further activity occurredWhen recovery of collateral occurs due to non-payment, there are additional fees accrued on the accountPlease refer to your signed contract for an explanation of those terms or contact the ARD department for an explanation of those terms

Ms [redacted] , we are a financial institutionTherefor when a debt goes into default, we attempt to collect on said debtWe do offer all of our clients a 10-day grace period before the payment is actually considered past dueWe are currently a lien holder on your title, as your vehicle was used as collateral on this loanThis is a short term loan, so the interest rate is higher than a conventional long term loanWe hold a signed contract where you were informed of the rates, with your signatureAt this point as your lender, we have lent you funds on collateral that you have admittedly traded in, although we are the current lien holder on that vehicleDoing that is illegalWe have the right as your lender to file a judgment against you for doing thatHowever we have withheld from doing that to dateWe are simply following fair collections practices and attempting to collect upon a debt owed to usRegarding the billing, a payment schedule is part of the signed contract, please refer to that document for scheduled due datesWe also send a payment receipt either via email or mail that states when the next due date isPlease contact the office if you are in need of another copy of your payment schedule and we will be more than happy to mail another one out to youTexting a payment reminder to our clients is actually a courtesy that we offerIn closing, we are currently attempting to collect upon a debt owedWe are following fair collection practices in our attempt to collect this debtThank you, Auto Equity Loans

RevDex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I never once talked to anyone from Auto Equity loans over the phone before driving to Delaware. I talked to a brokerage that fields inquiries and sets people up with possible loan options. So nothing was explained over the phone. I also lost half my income, so yes when the loan first started I had twice the income. I am trying to work out a settlement to still have the company make money and still work with me. My income is less than 1000 a month. The car payment is $615.00. Tell me can you live on less than 400 a month, and still eat, pay for medications? pay for doctors co-pays? I am on disability, but you don't want to work with me because you want to take a car worth $25,000 and sell it for $10,000 which is ridiculous. This loan is now current. I have made 5 payments on it leaving 19 payments to go.. 19 payments at 615.00 is $11,685!!! plus what I already paid.. making this $5,500 loan cost over $14,000!! I am trying to work something out with you that is reasonable to all parties. I see that you will not budge nor bend in anyway to help a customer, very disappointing and I hope you never find yourself in a situation where your income is reduced and yet your auto loan company won't work with you to help keep your vehicle and still make money. Such a shame. Holding a vehicle hostage to extort a ridiculous amount of interest is frustrating, infuriating and disappointing. You are telling me I can pay $5000 and come and redo loan for balance. I am unable to come in and do anything. I have paid $1200 so no longer even have $5000. I now have $3000 I can pay, but if it doesn't reduce the loan payment then paying it does not help me. I can NOT continue to pay $615.00 a month and still live, I need a reduced monthly payment or settlement.

Ms***, you do have the right to request a full payment history of your loanWe would be more than happy to furnish you with that informationIt will show each payment made on the loan, the balance after the payment was made , as well as the interest accrued on the loan dailyA lot of times it helps to have the payment history statement so that you can visually see the loan history from day one to present dayAll you will need to do is call your office for that information and we can send it to you via mail or fax

Ms***, after further review of your account it has been determined that fair collections practices were followed in regard to your late paymentsThe loan amount is showing as $2700, not $Through out the attempts to assist you in bringing the account current the collections staff
was hung up on several times by you when attempting to advise you of what needed to be done to make sure you brought the account current in order to avoid further actionWe understand you may have been at work, or you may have been busyHowever, the reason these calls are made is to stay in contact with you, and hope that attempts made to get the account current, come to fruitionWe go as far as to offer a grace period outside of the payment due date to give clients who may be struggling, some additional time to make the paymentUnfortunately, as with any loan where collateral is used to secure the loan, if payments fall too far behind, the collateral is then repossessedAt the time that the collateral was repossessed, the account was days past dueYou have days by law, to redeem the vehicle

Mr***, I do completely understand your frustration with this matterAgain, the only reason your number was called is because is was listed on a client application as his contact personYes, we should have delve into the matter in a more timely fashion and corrected this for you immediatelyPlease accept my apologies that was not done for youI can assure you that internally, we have taken steps to prevent this from happening in the futureYour number has been removed from the account and we will not be contacting you againThe staff here at Equity Loans that did not take the proper steps to have your number removed sooner, have been advised of proper protocol with incorrect numbers in the futureMy sincerest apologies that it took us so long to correct this matterI can assure you this will not happen in the future and I appreciate your bringing this issue to our attentionThank you, Auto Equity Loans

In response to the clients complaint, we did mail the check to the address listed on the accountThe contract you signed does state that if at any time you change your address or telephone number, you will update your account. Unfortunately you did not update your address on
file, so your check was mailed to the address listed on your accountLegally we can not send documents to any address, other than the address on fileWhen you contacted us regarding the check, we did advise it was mailed to the address you had listed on your accountDue to your call concerning the whereabouts of your check, we were made aware at that time, that you in fact had a new addressWe had to wait for the check to come back to the office from the post office, and once that occurred, the check was then mailed to the updated address on file

Dear Mr***:
I am writing to you in response to your complaint to the Revdex.com regarding your Title Loan with Auto Equity Loans of DE, LLC
When you came into the office on
8/20/2016, you borrowed $13,using your Chevrolet Tahoe VIN#1GNSKCE07BRas collateralAt the time of the loan, you signed a Payment Disclaimer that explains our Credit Card Terms and Conditions which specifically states, “Credit card payments must be less than $unless your minimum payment exceeds $Credit card payments can be made up to $every daysOverpayments are not authorized if the minimum payment is greater than $1000.”
When you came into the office on 2/23/2017, you used two separate credit cards equaling a total amount of $13,to pay off your loanAt that time, we processed one credit card for $7,and the other credit card for $6,Our Credit Card Terms and Conditions that you signed prohibit such transactions to be processed and the error was caught through our Accounting Department at the beginning of March
On 3/10/2017, we notified you via phone that we would need you to come into the office to sign a notarized letter due to the error we had foundThe letter explained that you would not issue any chargebacks on the above-mentioned transactions considering an amount of $13,was at stakeWe also explained in the letter that you would receive the title same day if you signed the agreed form
On 3/15/2017, you came into the office and the Loan Officers explained to you the situation and explained that our office notary had left for the dayYou requested that a manager be in office when you came back later that week before you signed the agreementOn 3/17/2017, you came back into the office when our office manager/notary was on callAfter she arrived at the office, you refused to sign the agreement in exchange for your titleWe explained that the purpose of this signed agreement was to protect our company against potential chargebacks, yet you still refused to sign it
On 3/16/2017, the Executive Director of Auto Equity Loans called you via phone to explain that given the circumstances, we refunded both transactions back to you in the total amount of $13,We would NOT charge any additional interest and that we would accept cash, cashier’s check or money orders within the next days in exchange for the title immediatelyOn that same day, a letter was sent to you explaining the exact detailsYou informed us that you understood the steps we were taking regarding your account and that we would no longer be speaking with youConsidering the circumstances and efforts made in trying to resolve this issue, we have exhausted all of our optionsPlease let us know if there is anything else we can do to further assist you at this timeThank you
Sincerely,

Tell us why here...Ms***, I do understand your concern with your final payment being higher than your usual monthly paymentThis happens when payments are made past the due date and additional interest accrues that goes onto the tail end of the loanWith that being said, I understand
your willingness to make the payment but the issue being your budget, and the unforeseen higher final payment on your accountThe Client Services Manager will be in touch with you in order to discuss your account so that we can come to some agreement regarding this final paymentMy apologies that your concern was not immediately addressed at the time of your callOur goal is to assist you as best we can to affordably manage this last paymentThank you, Auto Equity Loans

We can not accept a settlement on the account, this loan is only a few months old at this point, and is a month loan. We are not in the business of any coercionWe thoroughly go over the quote via telephone before scheduling a client to come in for the loanOnce in office we thoroughly go
over the contract, and the payment schedule, to make sure the client is comfortable with the payments before the contract is signedWe have advised the client that we will accept the $payment on her account, which will substantially cut down on the interest accrual for her loan, as most of that payment will go towards principalThis is an amortized loan, so the interest will accrue on the remaining balance onlyWe have made several attempts to discuss the loan with the client and keep the client from falling behind on the loanUnfortunately we are told our calls will no longer be acceptedOur outreach to our clients is simply to assist them in keeping their account currentAgain, the $payment will be accepted, most of that payment will go towards principal on her account, substantially lowering any interest that will be paid thereafterThis offer was made and explained to the client, she declined

Mr***,
We do apologize for any problems that occurred regarding the return of your title after pay-offWe do require a hold on the title after pay-off to assure all funds have been secured prior to releasing our collateral
The $you paid for the certified mail fee as been removed from
your accountYour title is en-route to you

Mr***, I am glad that you have received your titleI do apologize that there was a delay in your receiving your title backWe do charge a $fee to return titles back to the client certified mailThat fee is for shipping cost as well as handling costIn regards to the ink mark on the title, that should not be an issue with any future DMV dealingsIf at any time you find that the ink mark on the title is an issue, please contact the office and we be more than happy to assist you with your needsThank you, Auto Equity Loans

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I want to note that ob 10/26/16I spoke with [redacted] at phone number ([redacted] who was helpful and I was told thay my account is now frozen and would not accrue anymore interest while I continue to make payments until the account is paid off at which time I would be given back my title. My balance at this time was 483.66 and as I am making payments I should only see it go down but it should no longer accrue interest. I appreciate her calling me andI thank her for being understanding in regards to my complaint.

Regards,

Danielle Levey-waters

We do understand your need to lower the monthly payment due to a change in your monthly income. We would like to refinance the account for you. What that means is that we will need you to come into the office, you can make the large, lump sum payment you are speaking of, and we can then extend the terms of the loan for another 12,18, or 24 months. Dropping the principal balance and extending the terms will substantially lower the monthly payment due each month. Not only that, but it will also substantially lower the amount of interest paid out since you will be making a large payment and lowering the principal balance. You can contact our Client Services Department when you are ready to come in to refinance, and we will schedule an appointment at your convenience.

We do follow fair collection practice laws. You are listed as a contact person on the application for our client, which is the reason we have been reaching out to you. I do apologize that you are annoyed by these calls. We do announce ourselves and explain the reason for the call, as well as...

advise the person we are trying to get in touch with. That gives you the information you need as to why we calling and about whom. We can remove your name from the contact list so you will not receive future calls. However with out knowing who the client is in regards to this complaint, I am unable to determine the account the complaint is registered against. The next time you are contacted, please advise that you would like to removed from the contact list, and you will be given full instruction on how we can proceed in doing that for you. Thank you, Auto Equity Loans.

loan. We would also be more than happy to furnish you with a payment history that will show the actual amount paid back on the loan to date, which is much lower than the number you have stated. Unfortunately, because we were unable to reach you during most attempts, because we were unable to secure payment to bring your account current, your account was placed into further collections and eventually the collateral was repossessed. Several attempts were made to speak to you about your account options, several calls were made daily to attempt to bring the account current before further activity occurred. When recovery of collateral  occurs due to non-payment, there are additional fees accrued on the account. Please refer to your signed contract for an explanation of those terms or contact the ARD department for an explanation of those terms.

I tried numerous times to get my name removed from your call list.  the people calling me did nothing to remove me from your call list.  I was hung up on,  I was told I was removed only to get calls the following day,  I was told to speak to a supervisor only one was never available or return my calls.  I have never done business with your company and I never will.   no more response on your part needed.   go irritate someone else who does not have a loan with your company
