New to the area I went to this dental office. To make a long story short, After a set of x-rays they sent me a few letters telling all the dental work I supposedly needFrom root canals to screws etcThe dentist told me I needed to have all my fillings replace including one that was less than a year oldI ignored the letters and continue going for just cleanings with the hygienistOn my last cleaning there the dentist ask the hygienist to leave the room and she then proceeded to clean my teeth with a drill while looking back and forth at the monitor screenAfter a while something broke (Im pretty sure it was part of my filling but the dentist said it was part of the equipment) She then stop and the hygienist came backAfter the hygienist was done the dentist came back and started telling me about my fillings again and how they all have to be replaceI left that dental office scared and very worryI spoke to some of my neighbors and one of them had the same experience with this dental officeIt is my opinion, which I am entitled to give that this dental office is NOT honest and is giving dentists a bad nameI am now going to a great, honest dentist someone else that came highly recommended, who confirms to me I DO NOT NEED ANY ROOT CANALS Or anything on that letterSo my advise to those looking for a dentist is: do your research first and don't go to the first one you findI will never go again to Dental Beacon and definitely do not recommend them to anyone

New to the area I went to this dental office. To make a long story short, After a set of x-rays they sent me a few letters telling all the dental work I supposedly need. From root canals to screws etc. The dentist told me I needed to have all my fillings replace including one that was less than a year old. I ignored the letters and continue going for just cleanings with the hygienist. On my last cleaning there the dentist ask the hygienist to leave the room and she then proceeded to clean my teeth with a drill while looking back and forth at the monitor screen. After a while something broke (Im pretty sure it was part of my filling but the dentist said it was part of the equipment) She then stop and the hygienist came back. After the hygienist was done the dentist came back and started telling me about my fillings again and how they all have to be replace. I left that dental office scared and very worry. I spoke to some of my neighbors and one of them had the same experience with this dental office. It is my opinion, which I am entitled to give that this dental office is NOT honest and is giving dentists a bad name. I am now going to a great, honest dentist someone else that came highly recommended, who confirms to me I DO NOT NEED ANY ROOT CANALS Or anything on that letter. So my advise to those looking for a dentist is: do your research first and don't go to the first one you find. I will never go again to Dental Beacon and definitely do not recommend them to anyone.

Review: On 9/**/2012 a dental process was provided for me (deep gum cleaning). The dentist responsible for providing the service highly recommended it for me after a routine checkup. He stated that my out of pocked expense would be approximately $180 and that my insurance would cover the remaining balance. I didn't sign any paper work agreeing to pay anything insurance didn't cover or was told by the dentist. Shortly thereafter, I received a letter from [redacted], my dental insurance provider, that the claim was rejected and Beacon Dental was free to appeal this matter. According to the letter, they felt there was not enough evidence to suggest such cleaning was warranted. I've been to said location several times after this procedure and it was never mentioned to me. As a side note, since after having this deep cleaning done, I had a crown replaced and had to sign off if insurance didn't cover that I would have to pay the balance. It is apparent that Beacon Dental failed to show proof of the state of my gums to my insurance prior to having the procedure done. If in fact they showed the xrays or other data indicating a deep cleaning was required, my insurance would have have responded accordingly. Now, since the claim has been rejected, Beacon Dental is looking for me to pay the balance of $572. I find that Beacon Dental needs to improve their billing practices so as not to surprise their clients with unexpected bills.Desired Settlement: I would like Beacon Dental to remove the balance of $572 from my account as I see that they did not procure the proper authorization to perform the deep gum cleaning procedure prior to doing so. Nor did they explain to me that I would be responsible for the balance and indicate a numerical figure, so I could make an educated decision if it is a service I would have wanted done.
