We provide free high security locks with keys to all our tenants at this location. This lock was never changed until after the tenant vacated. The Andia's have had this unit since October 2011 and have been habitually late paying as we have waived their fees for this 26 times crediting them $330 to...

In July of 2016 the Andia's notified us they were moving out - to complete your move out tenants need to notify us in writing (there are forms and drop boxes located outside at the storage locations) and return all three keys (if not we need to destroy the lock- if we rent the unit again with 2 keys the new tenant would need to worry the old tenant could come and access his or her stuff). July came and went and the Andia's did not move out. in July they called us (late) and paid by [redacted]. In August they sent us a check (late) and paid August. In September they send us a check (late) and paid September. In October we received no payment from the Andias. In November we received a check for October's rent. The Andia's still occupied the unit until late November (so it could not be leased to other tenants wanting the space). They vacated in late November and left two of the three keys. The unit was paid up for November (the lease is month to month so the Andias were paid up for the month of November). We did not charge the Andia's the $30 lock replacement fee. We did offer to refund them $10 of November's rent (even though the lease and signs in the office are clear the lease is month to month not daily so no refund was due them). We also note the staff has breathed a large sigh of relief with the vacatingof the Andias because every interaction with them over the years has been nasty to the staff-after most visits the staff calls upset to discuss how they were treated. We would be happy to give them our offered $10 refund - either way we will be moving forward happily.

We are rejecting this response from the merchant because they are NOT telling the truth.  This money is owed back to us.We intend to bring this matter up to the PA Attorney General.  We will also let our friends, family and neighbors know how poorly we have been treated by this company after being a loyal customer for almost ten years and we will direct them to a more reputable company named Wallenpaupak Self Storage because the owner, Bruce, is a reputable and honest man.
