I wanted the trees in my yard trimmed and pruned. Their estimate states" Complete class 3 safety prunes on trees listed below. Minor thinning if needed and remove all deadwood broken of diseased limbs. I was charged almost $500 and all they did was remove the dead branches. When I asked why there were still branches from trees still hitting my house, I was told if I wanted live branches trimmed that was a completely different service. I feel that this was a bait and switch and I did not receive the service according to their estimate.

To whom it may concern here is the original quote he approved and we did everything that was on this proposal we said we would do. The main reason the price was what it was is because the job is 35 minutes one way from our shop. We gave our quote and he accepted the job and we did everything on the quote I dont understand what the complaint is. We would of sent a crew back out at no charge to trim the limbs off of the house just to make Brad happy but not after he called and yelled at the secretary that we ripped him off, we havent been in business for 17 years because we rip people off. Please call *** Sonny if there is any questions

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:The bid from Bear Creek Tree Service clearly states " Complete class 3 safety PRUNES on trees listed below. Minor thinning if needed & remove all deadwood, broken or diseased limbs." Any reasonable person would conclude from this statement that the trees would be pruned and thinned....not only the dead branches removed. but the live branches would also be pruned. Why was I told if I wanted the live branches trimmed it was a completely different service. And if they were willing to come back to my home to finish what should have already been done, why were the live branches not trimmed when they were there? There were live branches hitting my home that should have been removed. What difference does it make how far my home is from their shop? There is no reply as to why all the fertilizing info is listed on the 2nd bid but missing from the 1st bid. Again...I was told listing this info was standard and is included on all bids. Clearly...it isn't.I have been ripped off by this Company and feel like they use a "bait and switch" business model.

Sincerely

The customer approved the job for a class 3 safety prune. The definition of a safety prune is exactly what was listed on the customers estimate (see attached bid); Minor thinning, removal of deadwood, broken or diseased limbs. The customer did not state that he wanted anything else specifically done on his trees nor did we state on the estimate that we would be removing any “live limbs”. If he wanted a full prune (class 1 prune) that would have been a completely different price as well as removing any specific limbs away from the home. Our crews only follow the instruction of exactly what the work order states.

We only offered to go back to the customers home because he complained that the tree removals were not completed, which you can see was not listed on the bid that he approved (see attached bid). The removals were on a completely separate bid that was done on a different day and was never approved nor scheduled with the office coordinator. We let *** know that there must have been some miscommunication and there would be no problem with us coming back out that day to do the other estimate as well. At this time the customer never mentioned needing any limbs cut back from his house. *** refused to let us come back out.

Deep root fertilization is completed by a separate crew and is a separate service, that is why it was not listed on the estimate with the trimmings or removals. We do this for every customer.

Thank you

Amazing service. Showed up on time with about 6 guys and a lot of heavy machinery and did the job professionally and efficiently. They are very good at what they do! I don't know about the guy complaining on here but they told us to move some stuff out of the way too and we did. They took down a giant old oak tree 10 feet from my house and never touched my house with even a single small branch. It Was Awesome! I guess you need to have some common sense too and move stuff that might be in the way, they are downing huge trees you know.

This company doesn't even deserve one star. I had specifically requested that a certain branch be saved when they cut down my cottonwood. It was cut right off the bat. A heavy object was tossed onto my cherry tomato breaking a branch off (immediately after I had asked the guy to be very careful with my plants). Clothes line was never put back, fire pit was moved along with pavers and never put back. Other pavers were placed against lattice; breaking it. Two significant divots were put into my back yard; never filled back in. The gate was left open (I have two dogs)!!!!! I'm still finding stuff that has to be put back into place. Sonny, the owner, had the b***ls to tell me that during my original walk through for a quote I was informed that certain objects needed to be moved--I was responsible to taking care of this. BS!!!! I was never told this. After I pointed out all the problems Bear Creek had caused, they told me they'd be out a certain day, certain time to take care of them. This NEVER happened! I spent the most part of an afternoon waiting for them to arrive; what a waste of time! No e-mails, no calls, no note on my door, no nothing. I ended up having to put most of the stuff back and fill in the divots myself. My husband & I are in poor health; it's difficult for us to move such objects as a fire pit. I had to ask a neighbor to move it for us.
I would never recommend this company to anyone! Unfortunately, I had to pay them. I feel like I was bent over. DO NOT USE BEAR CREEK TREE SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
