Review: I've ordered [redacted] eyeglasses from Bear Eye Associates on 1/16/2013. This transaction was completed with [redacted], the office manager at the front desk. At the time of my order, I was required to give her a deposit in order to have the eyeglasses ordered... I did that. I gave my deposit in order to have the glasses made. A few days later, a payment was made in order for me to pick my eyeglasses up. I received a call requesting that I pick my glasses up because they were ready. I sent my daughter, [redacted] pick the glasses up. She did. Now, I am receiving bills from the office saying that there is an outstanding bill for the glasses that I've already paid for. [redacted] is saying that the glasses were ordered without me paying the required deposit. In addition to that so called error- [redacted] is saying that I also managed to go where the eyeglasses are kept, and removed them... then managed to get the case and certificate of authenticity as well as the care information that the office gives the patient which covers details about caring for the glasses, prescription details, exceptions and restrictions... I explained to her that I'd paid. And I wouldn't have a receipt a year after the fact- these allegations are just now being made to me. Had I not asked how to go about having my frames fixed by [redacted]- I would've NEVER known of this discrepancy. Even though the [redacted] address is my daughter's address and I can receive mail there. I've been asking to speak with her superior for the resolution but she gladly let me know she's the office manager and that is just that! She's saying the insurance company paid their portion but if I hadn't paid my portion- why would the claim even be submitted to the insurance company? I can't get anywhere with the office, therefore I ask for your involvement. When I spoke with Lois who works the front desk, she's saying that she don't see where I owe anything. Too many discrepancies. I'm asking for assistance.Desired Settlement: Just to set the record straight- I'm not paying for ANYTHING twice. I am not paying anything for these glasses AGAIN. I know I've paid. I know I didn't steal anything. I didn't appreciate the allegations being made against me in front of other customers or the way I was talked to or treated. By right- this shouldn't be reflecting as an unpaid debt or on my credit report. This office need to get their procedures and bookkeeping right.
