I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I do not agree with this response. I was neither threatening nor belligerent. I was led to believe we had a rational conversation and we had come to an agreement to resolve the situation. I have always used Bear for many things and have been pleased with there service. I had even said to Klaus that it was important to me to remain on good terms as I wanted to continue to frequent his bussiness. I have never wanted something for nothing, I just want to do bussiness with people that stick by their product and stick to their word. It is very important to me to give my money to "local" bussiness as much as possible in this day and age. Wrecking boots is one thing, the part I don't understand is why lie and string someone along as if you are resolving your mistake. If I was "belligerent and threatening", why would you ask me for the serial # for the boots to order for replacement? Why would you then tell me that they are ordered and on their way? Klaus obviously knew that he had wrecked the boots and decided that the cost of replacement was not worth the benefit of retaining my bussiness. I do agree with the phrase " you can't please everyone" and I understand this more than most. As a local bussiness owner you can not lie or be deceitful and if you say you're going to do something, you need to do it. I was a "pleased" customer for over a decade and now I am shocked at how unprofessional they have been in the last month.

I do remember the call I received from [redacted]. She was very belligerent and threating, she even tried to bully her way into...
getting something for nothing. We are a very respected shop in our area and have been in business since 1912. I am the third owner and owned it since 1999. We offer expert shoe repair and we consider ourselves one of the best in our industry. In my 24+ years working at Bear Shoe Works I have learned most people are pleased most of the time and a very small percentage of people are impossible to please, mainly due to unrealistic expectations. As for the Ugg boots that she had brought to us they were in very poor condition and looked as if they had been stained maybe from salt, chloride or sometimes when people fuel their vehicle sometimes the fuel can cause a problem. We also tell our customers that when we clean or condition leather it will look better, but not brand new. Her boots definitely looked greatly improved compared to the condition when they were dropped off. As for our cleaning and drying process, we don't put boots on a HOT dryer and it's hard to believe her boots could have shrunk two sizes as they are still attached to the same rubber soles that they came in with. We use an old saying " you can't make a silk purse out of a pigs ear" which is to say that sometimes expectations can't be met.
