Review: On the evening of 6/**/2015 we had no choice but to park in front of the building I reside in with my flasher on. Due to the horrible parking situation in Parkchester we were unable to find legal parking and had to use the bathroom. There are visible signs stating there is a 20 minute grace period. We got upstairs at 11:04 pm, they towed us at 11:11 pm. We got a phone # and called the company. We were told since it had just happened and the car had not even arrived yet we could go pick it up. The address was [redacted]. When we get there with another family we are told it is $136 and they only take cash. We had to walk in an unknown neighborhood searching for an ATM. They state there is a video of the incident documenting the time but no one could show it to us. We were not the only one's towed that evening. Multiple residents are getting towed constantly and taken advantage of. This is a quality of life issue. Parkchester police (###-###-####) took a report but did not have any information to provide. I called the management office the following Monday and was told they do not know who handles the contract with the towing company, they transferred me to someone in the service department who gave me the phone # to the secretary of the board president. Ms. M[redacted] ###-###-####. I am still attempting to reach her to discuss the arrangement parkchester has with this towing company.Desired Settlement: I would like this company to show us the video with the time the car was initially parked and the time it was towed. If they are unable to show this I demand to be reimbursed. I also want a public letter/statement from the company posted in all Parkchester properties and businesses detailing the process they have to determine when and how to tow a vehicle. All tenants have the right to be informed of the actions being taken to ensure everyone is obeying the traffic and parking regulations. The better informed the less misunderstandings.

Review: I stop by the bank to make deposit. I set my car blinkers so it would be clear that the driver was near by. The ATM was empty so I proceeded to make a deposit. I kept watching my car as I was making this transaction. However what I was looking for was the obvious nyc tow trucks or police. I did not notice that the white tow truck driver in this drug infested neighborhood had put my car on his lift. A customer who walked into the bank said is that your car, yes I said. She said they about to tow it. I ran out and I asked what are you doing? I was informed that I can not park there. I said ok so I will fight the ticket. He said no, you have to pay now otherwise it will be 125 or more. I explained there is no parking in this area, all the meter are taken. I had to make a deposit. I said you must have been watching me as I came out. He had not even written anything but he surely had my car on his lift all in 1 minute or 2 max. SAD story. Now I don't know what kind of scam the government has going on here when the only way to employ someone is to dig into the pockets of the working class, if I may say so. Im so sick of giving my money up to this city for under a minute transaction so that I can pay the rediculous rent I pay. I think that type of set up is enslavement.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of 68 as taken to put my car down.
