Bear Valley Community Emergency Department is to charge a Level III visit if medications/pharmaceuticals are involved, which they were in this case. The charges for an Emergency Room visit cannot be compared to that of an 'office visit'. Level III visits were compared with other Emergency Departments in close proximity to Bear Valley Community Hospital, and research clarified that charges are similar to other facilities in the state. Sincerely, [redacted]

Our Chief Financial Officer has reviewed your account as well. If you feel that you are intitled to a refund you will need to contact your insurance company since they pair the bill in full. No payment to Bear Valley Community Healthcare District was made by you.
