My husband and I had reservations at this cabin, sent her a check for a 100.00 security deposit, plus the 2 nights stay, plus a 50.00 cleaning fee. She said he 100.00 would be returned after we left.if no damages. We got to the cabin after the check in time and he maid was still cleaning the place after 4 hours. She was rude and complained about how much she had to clean after the other people. We called the owner and explained what happened, told her he place was not ready, the maid through a broom down and slammed the door at us, and the place was still in a mess and the maid was still not through. We told the owner we were not going to stay and headed back home for our 3 hour trip.the owner hung up on us 3 times, told us no refunds and called us liers! When we got got we emailed her and asked to to send us our deposit back and the 50.00 needed to be put back on our card, since we did not even stay there. The owner has not contacted us what so ever except one email stating about she was not refunding us anything. Now we are going to have to pay 31.00 to stop payment out of a check for the deposit, and we are out of 2 nights and a 50.00 charge for cleaning when we didn't stay there! And also our 100.00 personal check for the security deposit if any damages.Business Response I have attached the agreement that I emailed Mrs. [redacted] and her husband [redacted], that clearly states our policies on early departures, refunds and returning the $100 securtiy deposit. She did not have a printer and I was nice enough to mail her a copy to sign and return. I also mailed back her $100 security deposit on Monday, March 16th, the day after they were to have checked out. It clearly states on the agreement she signed that the $100 refundable deposit will be returned within 7 business days, which would not even be until next Tuesday, March 24th. As I stated to Mrs. [redacted] in the first of six emails that she has sent, the agreement is specific and not open to her own interpretation.[redacted] Consumer Response Her agreement states check in time 3:00 . We got ther at 310 pm and the place was a wreck, not cleaned and stunk like dog, the maid was no where near finished and fussed at us about how much she had to clean. Again, we have a time stamp with pictures and her agreement states, " check in at 3:00 pm!" She broke her agrrement! We have pictures with a time stamp of when we got there , when we left, and also, when we got back home 3 hour drive back home! This is bad business! And expect this matter to be resolved! We didn't get a cleaning fee or the full amount returned! The 100.00 check came Saturday, and that cost us 35.00 to cancel because we didn't know if she would cash that, knowing how she just refused any kind of reimbursement for the trouble that we encountered when we got there, except hanging up on us three times while we were trying to resolve the issues to her about the place not ready and still not clean! We aren't the kind of people to go this far but this was terrible on her behalf, and it ruined our anniversary!,!!!!!
