Make sure Anthony does your work I hired Beard Constuctors for an unlevel and due to an due to the photos I saw of the attention to details of previous work Unfortunately the owner hired some subpar helpers and left them unsupervised to do the work The project was to level the floor as needed, remove, reframe and replace two exterior doors, remove some kitchen base cabinets, install a new countertop, new sink, cooktop, oven cabinets, paint the upper and lower cabinets and tile the kitchen/dining room and hallsI provided all the materials and the labor quoted was a fair price I paid in cash at the end of the week for work accomplished during the week on Friday or Saturday whichever was most convenient for him Each day I would go over what was needed would go to work, coming home to find little accomplished He would leave and the "crew" behind with no written instructions and they would not remember what would was to be done The quality of workmanship was not as expectedThe cabinets were poorly painted, there was overspray all over the room (including the ceiling, woodwork and areas that were freshly painted) This forced painting of woodworking I had not planned and increased the project cost The countertop was installed incorrectly (I paid another contractor to fix), the sink was installed as a left handed sink and water to Fridge leaked (when mentioned he said he should have told me to get a plumber), the cabinets reworking was incompete and the shelf designed for a microwave was too shallow and had to be redoneThe project was at least a month over schedule over schedule and over budget due to miscalculations on estimates on materials and items being cut incorrectlyAt one point I thought there may be a funding issue because of the overage in materials cost and asked if he could "float" me a week till my next check for the balance He said yes When asked about scheduling on the tile installation he put me off weeks siteing my inability to pay for days and had taken on new projects When asked about getting the tie installed sooner, he told me I was welcome to find someone else Then was upset because I was able to find someone else over the weekendI believe that Anthony does quality work, but unfortunately I did not benefit from it
