will not honor ace reward offersI have been receiving ace rewards since I signed up, coupons indicating $5.00 off with min. purchase of varying amounts. and have always used them with varying success at this location. today I go in to buy softener salt the coupons states $5.00 off with min purchase of 20 dollars of regular priced merchandise so I go in and attempt to buy there is no signage of salt on sale when I tried to buy it I was told softener salt, wood and varying other items are excluded however no were is this stated on the coupon or in the store this is false advertising and is punishable by a fine also the lady told me these items are sold at cost huh reallyDesired Settlementdiscontinue false advertising and wasting my timeBusiness Response There are two types of Rewards issued to customers. One is an "Ace Reward" and the other is an actual coupon. In both cases there is a line on the reverse of the card in bold print that states "Additional exclusions may apply. See store for details." There are items that we exclude because any discount would let those items be sold at or below cost. We did have posted at one time a list (not exclusive) of items not eligible for discounts. Upon receiving this inquiry, I found that the posting had been misplaced. New signage been posted at the point of sale stations. I have attempted to contact the individual that brought this matter to you to express my desire to provide him 100% complete satisfaction. I would honor his coupon on salt as we did not have proper signage posted at that time. However, we could not locate his name in any of our records including the national database of Ace Rewards customers.Consumer Response I believe this to be a satisfactory response as the signage was not in place at the time. as far as 100% satisfaction on my end goes no further action is necessary. As I have discontinued my ace reward services.Thank You.
