Our carpet is showing massive wear and matting down, the carpet appears to be unraveling if you will. Our carpet was installed in August of 2017. After moving into our house which had brand new Beaulieu finespun color number 5 spun silk 12x84.9 sol dyed 6.6 nylon with hi pick bac and magic fresh rebond carpet installed, I started noticing wear patterns, matting down and fraying. We purchased this carpet on May 31 of 2017. The carpet took a while to come in and was installed in July of 2017. We paid $4,579 out of our construction loan for the carpet. We had our home built and researched a nice carpet that does not show wear! We are so disappointed as this carpet does everything that we were promised that it would not do. We are a family of two adults and a 16 month old. No pets are in our home and we do not wear shoes in our home.

Desired Outcome

I would like our carpet replaced or our money back to purchase new carpet.

We purchased this expensive carpet which touted the best warranty which is for 25 years. The carpet is extremely worn in less than a year. Purchased on 4/9/16. Carpet style 6846 Homespun, $4,062,08. Problem carpet was installed on June 1, 2016. Carpeting was maintained with daily vacuuming and professional cleaning on September 5, 2017 which was within the time required by the warranty. The problem carpet was installed in 3 bedrooms, a living room, and a hallway. Less than a year after installation all areas are showing significant wear, even with proper maintenance of the carpet. Pictures of the wear showing that the individual carpet fibers have separated and have not retained their texture were submitted to the company. The company has denied the the warranty claim saying "matting" is not covered and this is normal wear. I disagree and seek a full refund for the carpet and installation.

Desired Outcome

I would like a full refund for the carpet and the installation cost of the carpet, approximately $4,200. The second preferred resolution would be replacement of the carpet with a carpet chosen by the consumer and not produced by the Beaulieu company.

Carpet is buckling in several locations. Retailer spoke to Beaulieu and they refuse to rectify problem. On August 5 2014, 43.33 sq. yds. of carpet () was purchased on Invoice No.*** for our Master Suite from . The cost was $1,039.92 for the carpet, $129.99 for the pad and $216.65 for installation. In December 2015 I called *** to express my dissatisfaction with the the way the carpet was wearing and also that the carpet was buckling. They spoke to Beaulieu and were instructed to have me contact them directly. I did and Beaulieu instructed me to have the carpet professionally cleaned (which I did). The cleaning company stated to me that something didn't seem right as the carpet did not clean very well. Beaulieu then sent an "independent inspector" to test the carpet for defects. According to the inspector, there was nothing wrong with the carpet and Beaulieu denied my claim. They then instructed me to have *** come and stretch the carpet where is was buckling. *** did come and do that. After many emails back and forth with Beaulieu, it was clear they were not going to do anything. Even though I thought it was wrong, I conceded. Now, on September 7, 2017, I stopped to see *** to let them know the carpet is buckling in 6 different places. The owners of *** said that, that much buckling and (plus it is buckling in the same place as before) is a defect in the carpet. We had Hurricane, so *** was not able to call Beaulieu until late in September. After Both *** and *** spoke to Beaulieu, they called me and told me that Beaulieu would not do anything to try to correct the problem. Ted told me that *** stopped carrying Beaulieu's products because they had several problems, other than mine, Beaulieu would not stand behind. *** suggested that I call Beaulieu directly, but having tried that before, I couldn't see where they would do anything for me if they didn't offer any help to . I am 71 years old and have had carpet all my life. Living *** for most of my life, I've had alot of carpeting and have never had this problem before. I could drop it again, but it is just not right and would appreciate your help.

I feel Beaulieu should stand behind their product and replace it. I and *** have tried on several occasions to talk to Beaulieu (email & phone) to no avail.

I purchased their product that comes with a 4 year wear warranty. The item has shown wear and is no longer useful at 3 years. I purchased 4 different pieces of outdoor turf (Vantage series) over the course of 1 year. The oldest piece is 3 years old and the newest piece is 2 years old. The product was purchased to cover my entire back yard, replacing the old grass. This past year I have noticed the turf is separating from its backing in several places. In fact some pieces have come completely apart and have rendered the product to be unusable. I need to replace the majority of the turf. All 4 product purchases were made from . I first contacted them and after several conversations was directed to contact Beaulieu directly. I called and was told that my purchase does not qualify for warranty because it was not installed as they recommend. However, I was not given or told anything about installation instructions at any of the 4 purchase times. The product is a lower grade of artificial turf and meant for outdoor use, as advertised. The product was simply laid on top of smooth, flattened mix of dirt and sand in my back yard. Purchase dates were 5/17/14, 7/22/15, 8/30/14, and another date which I have not found the receipt for yet. Altogether, with the four separate purchases, the total paid was approximately $478. The *** product number was . My back yard which was covered with the turf product is approximately 1,000 sq. ft.

Desired Outcome

I know the product I have is 2-3 years old, but still feel that I was not given the proper details regarding "proper installation". I would like to receive adequate refund that would allow me to replace the turf.

The Beaulieu company is requesting additional information which I am providing here. I purchased the majority of the turf (Vantage series, Ivy Green, 12ft width and also 6 foot width cut lengths of 34 feet lengths from roll. The item number for 12 ft roll I believe is ) from *** store. Purchases were made here on July 22, 2015; May 17, 2014 plus another date I can't find the receipt.
