Case # [redacted] [redacted] Reply: The patient’s total treatment plan was $2,and was given a discount of $575, she paid $1,for bridge from #29-which was delivered on 4/22/ Patient came back for follow- up visit on 6/8/and everything was fine On the day we were going to take an impression for the Night Guard the patient decided she wants to have a consult with the doctor, the office tried to call the patient for the appointment for consultation but the patient did not respond Then we received a dispute letter form Care Credit, so we responded to Care Credit by sending all information requested in regards to treatment provided to patient including ledgers Finally the case was dismissed since we had provided enough evidence that we had provided the treatment as planned and no refund was issued per Care Credit In our books the patient still owes us $that her insurance did not pay and per EOB that is the patients portion

I am rejecting this response because: Whe I meet with [redacted] the first time she was told that I did not want another partial for I already had one. She assured me at our second meeting that she would be using my exsisting teeth (instead of haveing to put screws in) and that the new ones would be permanentaly affixted in my mouth. that is the only reason I gave my second $1,000.00. Our agreement was for the TOPS to be done first and if I liked them then the bottoms. The day I was in the chair I had taken anxietymeds and was also on pain meds (wich I actually took some while in chair), the meeting with the finance lady the dr. and the assistant even the dr told the finance lady that yes my judgement would have been impaired.( BUT I specificaly remember telling him 3 times not to pull one of my front teeth then next thing I knew he was putting stiches in my mouth.)During the meeting when I was assulted I did have the finaly payment of $1500 in hand. so them saying I could not afford it is incorrect!  The day after the dr messed up my mouth I called and complaind. [redacted] admitted to my husband and I that she herself had still planned on implaning a screw on the upper right to hold this thing. The ONLY reason why I need ANY dental work done is because of the damage they did and my old partcial will not work with haveing 3 nubs in my mouth. I can not et due to the fear of these things busting off, I have lost 8 pounds. Since there was NOTHING signed for this Dentist to dystroy my mouth A full refund is in order, so is the cost of fixing their mess up.If I had known that I was not getting PERMANIT teeth but more of what I already had I NEVER WOULD HAVE PROCced further that requesting our first $1,000.00 returned. I reitarate I had w waorking partcial and TEETH. no need to WASTE money and to go thrue such pain. I NEVER WOULD BE HAVING TO HAVE ANY DENTAL WORK IF [redacted] was honest and told me what they wanted to do.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:  I did go to my schedule appointment; however, the dentist stated, "I would have to wait because she was going to lunch, so I waited in a room for about an hour and 15 minutes.  When the dentist did not return to my room, I went to see what was going on "I heard one of the assistants state that the dentist told her to tell Dr. [redacted] she wanted me to see him, and Dr. *. said he was not going to see me."  This was my reason for leaving and refusing to return, because several patients were present when the assistant stated that Dr. [redacted] refused to see me. Then, I saw my dentist in another room with another patient instead of returning to assist me.  They are not being truthful.  Yes, I did go to the Texas Dental Board, and I was informed that Dr. [redacted] voluntarily surrendered her license due to 19 cases against her.  So, as you can see, they are not being truthful, for the dentists and her partners were negligent with their patients.  Also, Dr. [redacted] her partner was very rude to refuse to see me. I feel like I had been lied to the entire time I had been under Dr. **'s care.  I did refuse to let her dental office work in my mouth again once I found out I will have to pay much more now to have my dental work corrected.  As I stated to her several times in the past, "IT'S ALL ABOUT THE QUALITY OF YOUR WORK INSTEAD OF THE QUANITITY OF HOW MANY PATIENTS YOU CAN SEE TO GET PAID."   It is not about how many patients you do but how well you do your work when dealing with paying customers.  Thank you so much for your assistance.
Regards,
[redacted]

Case # [redacted]  [redacted] Reply:  This patient came to our office  on 6/23/15 and was treatment planned then we had to change her treatment plan since she could not get a clearance form her physician.  Originally her treatment cost was $23,736, discount $ 1,136, estimated...

insurance $1,300, her final portion was $20, 164.00.  Since patient did not have funds and was not able to get finance assistance due to their low credit score, we agreed to help them making an agreement that she would make $1,000 payment until paid in full then we would start treatment.  Since her physician cancelled her treatment due to medical clearance we revised her treatment plan lowering the cost to $10,400.00 with the same agreement that she would start treatment when balance was paid in full, but she insisted that she wanted to start treatment so we told her that if she could pay half we could start that is when she paid $3,500 and said that is all she could pay now and insisted she wanted to start.  We accepted that payment and started her treatment with her signed consent.  Before we start treatment we give patient’s copy of the treatment plan so that they are aware of what is going to be done and we also go over every single page before they are able to sign.   On the day she claims that she was cornered in an office we had the Doctor who was going to treat her, the Dental Assistant, and the financial Coordinator that she requested and at no time was she cornered she was on the dental chair and could have gotten up at any time and leave if she wanted.  She was not grabbed by anyone and no one yelled at her she was the one yelling the doctor was only trying to talk over her loud voice.   I see in her new treatment provided by Floresville Dental that they are going to do the exact same thing our doctor had treatment planned for her.  We have already refunded her $1,500 which is more than we should have.  The rest of the money was used for lab and doctor fees.   We feel that we were helping her since we are not supposed to start treatment until she was paid in full, but she was very difficult.  I spoke to the doctor treating her and he states she did not ask him to stop at any time and he said he went over the treatment changes with her and she was in agreement.

Case # [redacted]   [redacted] Reply:  The patient’s total treatment plan was $2,450 and was given a discount of $575, she paid $1,300 for bridge from #29-31 which was delivered on 4/22/15.  Patient came back for follow- up  visit on 6/8/15 and everything was fine.  On...

the day we were going to take an impression for the Night Guard the patient decided she wants to have a consult with the doctor, the office tried to call the patient for the appointment for consultation but the patient did not respond.   Then we received a dispute letter form Care Credit,  so we responded to Care Credit by sending all information requested in regards to treatment provided to patient including ledgers.  Finally the case was dismissed since we had provided enough evidence that we had provided the treatment as planned and no refund was issued per Care Credit.    In our books the patient still owes us  $242.00 that her insurance did not pay and per EOB that is the patients portion.
