Review: I came to this salon on 04/20/13 to get my feet and hands done as well as my little sister in laws hands done (meaning acrylics). I first got my feet done and got white tips on my tos and noticed when the worker was done she put the utencils she used on me back in her little box with out cleaning. I thought maybe she was going to clean them once I got up to get my nails done next. So meanwhile getting my nails "done" by this other woman she managed to break my nail, cut all my left hand above the cuticle, and when I told her she said it was because my cuticle was dry!!! Dry or not I should not be bleading on all 5 fingers and above the cuticle is not even considered a cuticle it is considered my finger! She was not paying attention and kept running off my nail onto my finger with the drill. When she put on the top coat it stung because it was leaking into my open cuts that were bleading. The gel was all over the place and not even put on so my nails came out looking as though they came out a garbage disposal. When I mentioned this to the manicurist she said "when you come back next time it will be free" ummmm no I told her how about free now because I am not coming back here, I will pay for my feet and my sis in law hands but my hands no. She then said ok $17....I again said no then she lowered to $10 I said no as well and even showed every worker my hand because yes I did make a seen because they said if I dont pay they would call the cops. I showed the other customers that were there they also said I should not pay because yes they looked horrible. I ended up paying the $10 aside from the $40 I paid the other ladies because the workers cornered me where the seating area was, mind you I was with my 3 year old son, sons father who was upset, and my 15 year old sis in law. I took pictures of my hand immediately after I left and will be taking action if nothing is done about the services or treatment that I had at this place. Through all this I did not get one apology at all !!!!!Desired Settlement: I want all $50 spent at this place and would like this place to get inspected because of the little barbacide containers I did see not one being used. I also want compensation for my time, I got there at 9:30 am so that way it can be an in and out because I had an event to attend to and did not leave there until 11:30 am ..,,,for some reason my pictures will not upload. Please send me a link so that way I can show you my pictures on what was done to my hand. I am not taking this very lightly.

To whom it may concern,I am truly sorry and deeply apologetic as the events that took place at Beauty Hair and Nails on April 20, 2013. I, [redacted], as the owner of this establishment only hope the clients enjoy a quality experience. However, the workers in the shop are independent contractors that provide services in booth spaces that are rented. Therefore, workers in the shop 'have no direct association with the shop to be classified as an employee.With this being the case, I have taken it upon myself to speak with the parties involved. We have provided service to the Chula Vista community for over 15 years and have provided excellent service without any prior complaints forwarded to the Revdex.com. In speaking with the worker, she mentioned that there may have been a language barrier issue. The worker involved is a very honest and well intentioned individual. She feels badly for the client's experience and has agreed to repay the client for the service, which the client had the complaint or issue. However, since other workers provided other services and there were no other issues with those services, we feel that no other compensation would be necessary to resolve this issue. This would not be fair to workers that provided services that the client accepted and had no problems to address. As for compensation for time, we do not feel that this is feasible. As a client walking into an establishment for services, there is no guarantee how long certain services are going to take. Since we did not advertise any given amount of time for services rendered, I do believe compensation for this matter would be justified. It would be difficult to put a value on time for a client as she could have easily left if she was significantly short on time as most people would do if they are in a rush.In conclusion, the worker is very sorry for the poor experience and will fairly compensate the client for the services associated with the complaint.
