Beauty Land African Braiding

Horrible service done, and no type of FAIR compensation.I went to Beauty Land [redacted] Braiding on March 16th, 2014. I received service of getting my hair done in kinky twist. When I arrived I asked for micro braids. The owner stated that the micro braids would not last on my hair so it would be better if I had kinky twist done to my hair so that they would last. She insisted that they would last at least 3 months. She also stated that she would fix it if I had any problems. (However she did not state whether it was free of charge or not). I paid $180 in cash, and did not receive a receipt. In less than four days the perimeter of the hair added in had slipped out. It was very embarrassing. The twist never unraveled but I could run my finger through my hair and the twist would just easily come off of my own hair. I called the shop the following Sunday because of work scheduling I could not get back into that the shop. I spoke with the owner again she asked for me to come back in to let her see exactly what was the problem. I work out of town so I went in Thursday March 27th (less than two weeks from getting my hair done) About half of the extended hair, kinky twist had came out. They were not even intertwined with my hair, so there was no way possible that they would have lasted. She looked at my hair and asked me had I put any water on it, I replied no. I would not even put any oil to it because it was already slipping out. She then asked me for MORE money to redo the hair. She said that she would charge $80 but would do it for $60 to redo the hair. I told her the other part that was still standing wouldn't even last another month at this rate, so she then stated it would be $150. First of all, I told her with all due respect I've already received a very poor service why would I continue to pay JUST as much to receive the same thing. The actually braider that did my hair before was not there, the owner claimed she doesn't work there anymore. I basically wasted $180 for a hair style that was suppose last for 3 months and only lasted a week and a half. I am very disappointed and dissatisfied and this was a total rip off. There aren't any signs where it states no refunds. But the owner wanted me to pay over $300 for the exact same style. At the end she then told me that she couldn't even do the same style as the previous braider anyway. Which also would have meant she wouldn't have known what she was doing and I would have wasted more money! I would like to receive my money back. People at my job even stated that they did not believe [redacted]'s actually did my hair due to how bad the hair style looked. I've had my hair done by [redacted] braiders SEVERAL times in the past and have never experienced service this horrible. The owner guaranteed they would last and they did not, ripped me off of $180 and had no consolation at all. She did not even apologize for the poor lack of service that I received in the first place. She stated that I should have came back (in which I did, like I stated it had only been a week and a half). She did not honor her word in making sure my hair would last nor did she fix the problem. Desired SettlementI would like to receive the money I paid in full back in the amount of $180. Business Response Business called and said that once they received the complaint, they called the consumer. If the consumer wants to have her hair redone at this point, she will have to pay.Consumer Response She called me and was suppose to call me back to let me know when I could get my hair done. She never did!
