NOVEMBER 5, 2014 ENCLOSED IS A COPY OF OUR INVOICE DATED 4-17-14 FOR THE SPRING LAWN APPLICATION THAT WAS DONE ON THAT DATE AND SIGNED BY OUR TECHNICIAN AND ALSO TIMED AT 11:20 AM THAT DAY. SHE CALLED ON APRIL 21, 2014 AND CANCELLED THE LAWN TREATMENTS FOR 2014. SHE CALLED AGAIN ON 5-6-14 TO... SAY SHE DID NOT GET AN INVOICE AT THE DOOR, BUT STILL HAD WEEDS. WE DO NOT GO BACK ON A CUSTOMER AFTER CANCELLING THE LAWN APPLICATIONS. ALSO, IN HER SPRING RENEWAL LETTER (COPY ENCLOSED)WE DO NOT GIVE A GUARANTEE ON WEED CONTROL FOR ANY CUSTOMER TAKING LESS THAN 4(FOUR) APPLICATIONS A YEAR. ON MAY 19, 2014 SHE PAID FOR THE SPRING LAWN APPLICATION. THE LAWN APPLICATION WAS SPRAYED ON 4-17-14. THERE WILL BE NO REFUND ON THIS ACCOUNT. I never signed anything stating that I wanted to continue this service My husband and I had a very rough He was hospitalized twice with life threatening problems, the first with multiple pulmonary emboli after which he was placed on blood thinners A few months later, he developed a Mallory Weiss tear in his esophagus, which, being on blood thinners, he almost died He missed quite a bit of nonpaid work due to running out of paid leave I also had very serious health problems last fall and missed paid days at work (I am only hired as a casual worker) I had spoken to the secretary several times and she just could not understand why I had not cancelled I had quite a bit on my plate The last time I spoke with her, I was in bed illShe woke me up from a dead sleep at a.m We are senior citizens and our income was hurting during those months and I am left with multiple copays for services that we both received from healthcare The secretary refused to write this off I felt that I had no other choice than to write the Revdex.com I am sorry if I offended anyone but we simply cannot afford this any more

business for 36 years. Our company applies 15,000 applications per year to 4,000 customers. Every year each customer receives a renewal letter stating “OUR SERVICE IS CONTINUOUS UNTIL YOU OTHERWISE NOTIFY US”.  This is giving the customer a choice to stop the service anytime.  It just doesn’t stop there. Every invoice or any piece of material from us also states “OUR SERVICE IS CONTINUOUS UNTIL YOU OTHERWISE NOTIFY US”. I’m very surprised that Mrs. [redacted] is so versed in contacting the B.B.B. and is planning on sharing our practices with face book, that she could overlook a statement as profound as “OUR BUSINESS IS CONTINUOUS UNTIL YOU OTHERWISE NOTIFY US”, especially since she received over six pieces of correspondence from us in  renewal letters or spraying invoices. Another item that is confusing to me is that she spoke to one of our secretaries on October 9, 2015 and said she would pay the bill of 46.58.  By contacting the B.B.B.  And posting messages on face book is maybe a way she feels she can get away without paying for the service. I’m sure we could have worked something out with the bill if given the chance. Talking bad about our company is NOT the way.  Just a reminder to Mrs. [redacted], be careful about what you say on social media about a company and its practices. Review: On 8/24/15, without our knowledge, came and treated our lawn. When I called the business and told them that we did not order this, I was told that since we had it the year prior, THEY automatically placed us in a continuous contract. We never requested this from them, nor have we ever signed anything stating that we desired such contract. We have ordered heating oil from the same company for 30 years, yet he waits for our call to bring the oil because he doesn't know when we will have the money to pay it. Sometimes a person's financial situation changes, like ours, and we can no longer afford to pay for such items. If an organization sends you Christmas cards in the mail, you are under no obligation to pay for them since you did not order them. I feel that this is the same situation. They are now threatening to turn me into a collection agency. We never called them to perform the service, never signed a contract, and never asked to be on the "gift that keeps on giving" list. They merely assumed for their personal gain to support their bottom line.Desired Settlement: I feel that we owe this company nothing as we never ordered the product.

Review: I have been a customer of Beauty Lawn in Johnstown PA for over 12 years. This past May, I called to see when they were going to spray since they normally spray for the first time in April. The person that answered the phone told me that they sprayed my lawn in April. I told them I didnt believe that they did, since I didnt have a slip/invoice on my door and I hadnt noticed the normal reaction of my lawn (weeds shriveling, spring dandelions dying off, the odor). But the woman, with no proof or investigation at all, insisted that the guy had sprayed my lawn in April. I have been a customer of Beauty Lawn for many years, I am very familiar with how my lawn reacts to the spray and what weeds it will kill and not kill. I pay attention. She also said the slip may have blown away, possible, yes, probable, no. They attach it around my door handle and in 12 years in has never blown off in any weather. I called again a few weeks later, after I noticed more and more new varieties of weeds I had never seen before sprouting in my yard. She said she had a guy nearby and he was going to go look at my yard and get back to me. No one ever did. I called several more times throughout the summer, as my yard continued to decline. But the owners would not call me back. I have never been treated like this by any company, especially one who Ive been such a long-term customer. Im not sure if I am being discriminated against because I live in an urban area, or more likely, because I told them I would be moving. Either way, I am SHOCKED they would be willing to lose a lifelong customer over $50. Its really sad for them to treat their customers this way. Truth is, I am moving, to a one acre lot (all grass yard), and Im not sure who will be treating my yard but I know it will NOT be Beauty Lawn.Desired Settlement: I would like my money to be refunded, since my yard was never sprayed.
