Review: contract and customer service related. I purchased a truck on May 4, 2015. While there I was told that the bank would not give me a loan for the truck I was purchasing unless the dealership gave me a 6yr Warranty.I was told by the sales manager and the gentleman that was selling me the truck that the warranty was a free 6 year warranty. I had told these gentlemen in the beginning that I did not want to purchase any warranties! They assured me that the warranty they were giving me was Free to get me the approval.A week later we were trying to refinance the truck through our bank. While going over the contract my wife discovered that they had tacked a service contract costing 4,486.00 onto the purchase price of the truck! She also discovered that the line next to where they tacked on this warranty had a line that said customer initials which they never had me initial. I was told the warranty was free and assured many times that it was! My wife called in to the dealership to find out why I was charged for a warranty that I told these gentlemen in the beginning I did not want. She spoke to the sales manager who apologized for the "mistake" and told her that if we went to the dealership all we would have to do is sign a paper and the warranty would be cancelled and the money would be removed off of the total of the loan. We went up there on May 16, 2015. The sales manager then tells us that I was only approved for a 45k loan and that they needed to make up the other 5k on the truck so they tacked on the warranty because the bank would allow a warranty to be purchased. The warranty That I was told was free. They also never said anything about me only being approved for the 45k.if I had known I needed to pay for a 5k Serv agreement I never would have bought this truck! While talking in the lobby he then started to act like he had no idea what we were talking about and called my wife a liar in font of everyone& acted like he was escorting us out! We were told too bad so sad! We were lied to and mislead!Desired Settlement: I would like to get a refund for the 4,486.00 that I was charged without my knowledge. I was misled and lied to and my wife was also lied to by these people. They tell you what you want to hear to get the deal done and do not care anything about the customers they are serving. They took advantage of myself and my wife and embarrassed us by acting like we were liars. I feel that I am entitled to the money back that I was charged without my knowledge. They took advantage of me and it is not right

Review: I purchased a certified used truck from Beaver County Dodge in September 2014. After having the vehicle for approximately 3 months, it started running rough and felt like the transmission was slipping. We took the vehicle in for service and it was in the shop for approximately 3 days or so. We got the vehicle back and drove it for another few weeks and it started doing the same thing. We again took it back and this time it was in the shop for approximately 10 days in which they gave us a rental car (Nissan Sentra..far cry from the Ford F-150 we purchased). Once again we got the vehicle back and drove it for a few months. In April, the truck again started doing the same thing but was much more worse than before. We took the vehicle back in for service. They gave me a Dodge Avenger to drive. Again my husband is a chemical inspector and needs a truck for work but gave us a car. This time they had the truck for almost 9 MONTHS!! They took it to 2 different Ford dealerships trying to figure out the issue, they replaced the motor and it still was not running right. Finally got the truck back in November. During this time, my husband drove my Trailblazer back and forth to work, carrying chemicals, etc in it. My Trailblazer had such a smell to it you could not stand to get in it. So after much complaining, the dealership put tires on the truck and detailed my trailblazer. This was the compensation I got for them having my truck longer than I did. At the end of December, the truck started doing the same thing. I took it back to the dealership and was told to take it to a Ford dealership, there was nothing more they could do. I called a Ford dealership and told them my issue and they told me the best advice they could give me was to talk to an attorney. I called the dealership and they told me to come up the next day. The sales manager told me they would get me out of the vehicle and put me in another one. We ended up with a 2010 Dodge Ram which was 3 years newer than the Ford, however it did not have all the features the Ford had. It is a basic model. I was under the assumption that my payments would stay the same, etc. My payments went up $80 a month and were extended to 72 months instead of 60. We have had the Dodge since January. Today I took the Dodge in for the 3rd time for service for the same issue. Again they gave me a rental car. I have left messages for the owner who has never called me back. I feel like this is a big joke to the dealership.Desired Settlement: I do not want the truck anymore. It has been in the shop 3 times now for the same issue. I feel like the dealership should at least offer me some type of compensation. They should at least have the decency to call me back.

Response:

We have asked [redacted] if she wants to trade this vehicle. I have spoken to herpersonally, as have my service writer and manage, so I do not understand her “decency to callback” comment.I will gladly work with her personally if she truly wants to trade this vehicle.

Review: I had taken my Jeep in 3 times to have my taillight repaired. The first 2 times I was told that the problem was the bulb. After the 3rd time of the same issue, I assured them that the problem was not the bulb, as the bulb works outside of the Jeep. As of now, my Jeep has been in the garage for 3 days with no repair on the taillight. I was told that the problem was due to a harness that that same dealership had also installed. I was told that if the harness is disconnected that the taillight will work. So now, I have a harness installed, that I had paid for, that is disconnected so the taillight will work. I do not feel safe, nor comfortable, driving the jeep with an improperly installed harness causing my taillight to not work properly. As of now, I am without a vehicle and an unresolved issue.Desired Settlement: I would like both the harness and taillight issue repaired.

Review: I purchased a car about 6 months ago and had $5,000 equity in my trade. I purchased a car that was worth around $26,000. I drove home with this car and 3 days later the dealership called and said there was an issue, that I needed to return to do more paperwork. I found out that the vehicle I was driving was not the vehicle I actually owned. The dealership told me that the vin# had been switched on some paperwork and that I actually owned another vehicle on the lot that I have never even seen before. I asked what my options were and was told that the paperwork was already submitted to the state that I didn't have any options and had to take the car I have never seen before. This vehicle was the same car but a different model and had way less features and was worth over $4,00 less. My finance amount stayed the same. I was told that if I found that the car was not what I wanted to bring it back and they would take care of it and make it right. After I received the registration from the state I made several attempts to talk to someone about taking care of the issue. I talked with the original salesman, called and left several messages and left notes with keys that I found in the door of a car that I was looking at on off hours. A few days ago I finally was able to talk with someone and was told that the sales manager and salesman no longer work at that location. I was also told that they could help me with the car by taking it in on trade for $18,000. over $4,500 less than what I owe. This would mean that I would have lost over $9,000 with this whole deal plus 6 months of paying on a car that I didn't even want. I Finally spoke with the owner and he had stated that if I didn't like the deal that I should go somewhere else and there was nothing he was going to do for me. I was treated very poorly for trying to resolve a mistake that the dealership made that has only hurt my finances.Desired Settlement: I want to be back where I was before I purchased this car. I had $5,000 equity. I want that to put towards another vehicle instead of having to roll over $4,500 in negative equity.

Response:

Mr. [redacted] has attempeted to trade his vehicle in for months and is unhappy with his current

trade in value. He has not been easy to deal with and his been very disrespectful with numerous of my

employees. We owe him nothing-and really don’t want to discuss any deals with him in the future due

to his attitude and comments.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. I find it very upsetting that the owner of the company says that I have been very disrespectful and can not even get my name correct, It is Mr. [redacted] NOT Mr. [redacted]. This just helps to show the amount of attention issues they do not want to deal with get. I have been trying to trade my vehicle in for months because I was told that if I was unsatisfied with my vehicle to bring it back and I would be taken care of since this was a vehicle that I had never seen and was forced to keep due to clerical errors on the dealerships part. I believe that I was very calm and patient with everyone I had dealt with. I had left numerous messages for the sales manager to call me back and also made several attempts to speak with the owner or have him return my call. When I was finally able to speak with PJ he was very rude and disrespectful to me saying that he didn't sign the papers it wasn't his fault and that if I didn't like the deal go somewhere else and to quit wasting his employees time. I have only been trying to do what I was told and promised by the dealership from the beginning. I also do not wish to discuss any deals with Beaver County Dodge, however I am in a position of great monetary loss and have want the dealership to make this right.

Review: My wife bought a vehicle from them back in April 2014. Before the vehicle was sold, she was verbally told that this car was clean and had never been wrecked. After running a [redacted] a few weeks ago, we found that this car had been wrecked in 2011 as well as Feb 2014. The accident in 2011 was so bad that airbags had been deployed.Desired Settlement: I would like the remaining balance of the vehicle be paid in full.

Review: took vehicle in for repairs and was told the repairs would cost $250. I went to pick up vehicle after completion of repairs and was told the cost was $311. When I complained and showed the estimate in writing for $250 they said there was nothing they could do and I should pay the $311 or let them keep my car. So I paid the $311 and left.Desired Settlement: refund of $61

Review: Hello I recently took my 2012 ram truck in for check engine light. After they had it for 7 hours they called me and informed me it needed a new o2 sensor which was covered by its warranty. But they informed me that Chrysler would not honor the warranty unless I had them preform rountine maintainence as in oil change $130 ccv filter $176 and fuel filter $203 all at my expense. I asked if I could do these myself and they said not if I wanted them to cover the o2 sensor. What good is a warranty if they make you pay for other stuff in order to get it. I always do my own routine maintenance and do not know why I was forced to do this Thank you.Desired Settlement: It cost me $647 for work that I could have done myself. I want at least the labor charge back.
