Beaver Toyota of Cumming Reviews (%countItem)

As far as toyota dealerships go, this one is honest. I've shopped several Toyota dealerships around the metro for years, and this is the only one that I would return to. You have to be able to haggle, and you have to use your common sense to get a good deal, but this dealership isn't out to cheap you like some of the others. They even have a 30 day exchange policy if you don't like the purchase after signing the papers.

Never reimbursed me for a rental car like they agreed to.
Bought a car from these people & 2 days later it needed work under warranty. They told me to take out a rental for the time being and they would reimburse me because they didn't have any loaner cars at the time. I paid for the rental & turned in my receipts. It's been almost two months now of me trying to get my reimbursement and no one seems to be able to help me.

Desired Outcome

I want my money back, my credit card bill is due and you all owe me.

Beaver Toyota of Cumming Response • Jun 17, 2020

A check was issued on 6/4/2020 for the cost of the rental reimbursement for $120.00 (check #XXXXX). The check was cashed on 6/9/2020. We also made a formal apology to Mr. for his trouble and our delay of response. Mr. was pleased with the outcome.

They have sent me a check & everything has been resolved. Thanks

January 26, 2019, we purchased a new car from Beaver Toyota, Cumming, GA. We needed a four wheel drive vehicle to transport my husband to kidney dialysis in bad weather. Our intention was to pay cash. But a carrot was dangled - 'we will take $500.00 off the price if you will finance. You can make three payments to the finance company (this avoids the prepayment penalty), then pay off the balance. This will only cost you a few dollars of interest.? Sounded good until I checked with Southeastern Toyota Finance. By making the three payments, then paying off the balance, the cost above the loan amount would be $668.60. By paying off the loan today, it cost $298.30 in interest. Neither amount seem 'a few dollars of interest? to me. Also, I asked the finance company about a prepayment penalty. No such thing I was told. The hard copy paperwork I was given showed amount financed as $25,441.00, while the finance company had an additional amount of $125.00 tacked on. At best I was mislead. All the paperwork that I signed, page after page, was handed to me on a thumb drive. I use an IPad. I trusted the dealership to see to my best interest while they were seeking their own best interest.

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment Since this was orchestrated by a Beaver Toyota employee, I feel the cost of financing of $289.30 should be returned. An apology for telling me I needed to make three payments before I could avoid a prepayment penalty and being more truthful with future customers should be forthcoming. I like the convenience of Beaver Toyota and have been happy having my car serviced there. I feel betrayed by this transaction.

Beaver Toyota of Cumming Response • Jun 17, 2020

A check was issued to the customer for the cost of the financing of $289.30. We also made a formal apology. It had been a year since this complaint was issued. We were not aware of the complaint, so it was very satisfying to make the customer happy and resolve their concern after all this time.

*** reached out to me to apologize and make amends. Even though it took a long time, they responded to correct. I appreciate their apology. Seems like someone has taken over for the dealership who cares about doing business fairly.

I have purchased two vehicles from Beaver Toyota and had the most wonderful experience. The staff was very helpful and it was truly a happy seamless experience. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new or pre-owned vehicle.

This Toyota Dealership does not care about people. There service department does not seem to be concerned about safety or well being only the bottom dollar for them. They would quicker tell you to go else where than fix the problem and take ownership as TOYOTA. If they desire to remain in business they need to learn that loyalty means being a team there actions of recent means less loyalty to the product.

This dealership lied about my financing, and about inspection of my vehicle, and won't refund my GAP waiver as instructed, nor return my calls.
In spite of having a very nice dealership with plenty of amenities to wow the customer, they mislead me regarding the financing of my vehicle and the process they use to inspect the vehicle when they got it as a trade in. They also refuse to refund my GAP waiver. See the details as described below.

I bought a 2014 Nissan Versa from them that supposedly had been through their 127 point, etc.., inspection, with the fluids changed, etc. The car had 40k miles on it. I quickly found out that the front brakes were shot, and I had to do a front brake job immediately, or risk major brake repairs. I also had to change the oil and antifreeze although I was told it had been done. It hadn't. The belts were also apparently not checked, and then I found out there were 2 recalls on the vehicle.

Next, I let them arrange the financing due to a credit issue I had from getting divorced. First, they claimed the lender insisted on GAP insurance, but I found out later that the lender didn't. Next, they charged me $799 for the GAP (average GAP is $175-$450). I was told that my interest rate of 16% meant that out of my $236/month payment, $69 would go to interest. I accepted that figuring I could refinance in 6 months to a year. Guess what..? Out of my payment of $236, a whopping $137 goes to interest, and only $99 to principal. It looks like a title pawn loan to me at 60% interest when you do the math. It looks like a scam, and what's funny was I was told to put down $1,000, and the dealership told me they would give me $500 back, but for me not to tell the finance company. The did give me the $500, but it all seemed fishy -- don't tell the lender?

Finally I have attempted to cancel the GAP, to lower my balance to attempt to refinance the vehicle. I was told by the finance company that the dealership has never sent them the check. I was also told by the actual GAP insurance company that the GAP did get canceled, almost 3 months ago now. Where's the money? I have not received it either.

After repeated emails, and leaving messages at the dealership, no one will call me back or respond by email. The place is too far away for me to travel to with having to work, etc. They're liars and crooks. Steer clear of them.

Desired Outcome

They can reimburse me for the brake job, oil change, and antifreeze flush I had to get. I was told they did all of the fluids and the brakes would have been done if needed. They didn't. I also want my GAP refund as I am legally entitled, sent to either me or the finance company -- asap. Actually, since they lied about the interest rate, give me my money back and take the car back. I can't get it it refinanced with the age, miles on it, and the high balance due to the high interest I'm paying.

we tried to contact Mr. servile times today Via phone and Text, so far we have not been successful on reaching him .
FYI the GAP check has been cashed by the lean holder.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
It's funny that this has been going on since May. I left numerous messages by phone with staff, and on voice mails, yet no one would respond. I sent multiple emails, and yet, no response. I was called numerous times via the dealership's marketing staff trying to get me to trade my vehicle in, set up service intervals, etc.., and each time told them I needed someone to return my calls and address the issues. Not one response amidst all of the promises. Finally, after filing this report with the Revdex.com, and filing a compliant on Yelp, the dealership now wants to reach out to me. Really? Even then, if you look at the dates, it took the dealership a full month to respond to this complaint via the Revdex.com. I have no more use for this dealership, nor a desire to speak with them now. The damage is done. It was done early in the process when I bought the vehicle. There is nothing they will be willing to do.

Mr. contacted our dealership in the beginning of July regarding this matter and spoke with our Office Manager. She verified a replacement check was issued as the original check we issued to *** had not cleared our bank account. The replacement check was cashed by *** on 7/3/2018. The check number is*** in the amount of 715.28. Mr. paid 799.00 for the gap, which was financed into his sales contract, on 1/26/2018. The cancellation was requested as of 4/12/2018. *** pro-rates the refund due to the customer as 95.78% less a $50.00 fee. Regards
