Responding to Mrs. [redacted] concerns on her fathers home in Elm Grove. Robidoux Brothers was contracted in May of 08' to install cedar shake roofing to certain sections of her fathers home. Choosing to do so as he could not afford a complete roof at that time. Mr. [redacted] chose to go...
with non treated cedar to save on cost. It was understood at that time that Mr. [redacted] would need to treat the shake at a later time. Clearly that never happened and as a result there is now a failed roofing system. Proper care and maintenance is always needed on cedar shake roofing. As unfortunate as this is after installation of a roof, care and maintence is out of our control.
