Regarding Complaint ID [redacted] Customer: [redacted] Date: 10/21/15Disputed Amount: $350.00Transaction description:Customer brought Jeep Liberty into Anaheim Becker Tire location on 10/20/with his own parts The parts provided were front brake pads and rotors, front struts, and front upper control arms The vehicle had a 2.5" lift kit installed We provided [redacted] with an estimate of $for installation of his parts, brake fluid flush, alignment, lubrication of rear brakes and removal and reinstallation of the rear shocks that we saw were installed upside down At approximately 11:am on 10/20/ [redacted] approved this amount When the rear shocks were removed from the vehicle it was apparent that the shocks were blown and would no longer function correctly We provided [redacted] with a new estimate that included new shocks for an additional $that he approved at approximately 3:pm on 10/20/15.Every step of the sales process was done per state regulations Customer was provided with a pre-sales tax amount of the work to be performed Customer authorized the work before we performed the service At no point during the performance of the work or when customer came to pick up the vehicle was their ever a word from him that he had any issue with the amount of the invoice or the per item charges reflected on the invoice.Response to allegations in consumer complaint:Customer states that he brought vehicle in for shocks and alignment and that he was told it would be done by the end of the day The vehicle has an altered suspension that made the installation of the control arms difficult Customer was contacted multiple times during the day to be apprised of the status of the work Customer states that when he came in the following day to pick up his vehicle he was told a different price than originally quoted This is simply not the case Prior to performing any work, salespeople MUST obtain approval verbally or in writing which was done Customer states that he was told he would not get his car back unless higher price was paid Again, at no time did customer complain about the price and paid his bill without dispute.Customer states that because the charges were significantly higher than originally quoted that "this is a breach of contract." Again we obtained approval before any work was performed.Customer states that he "never approved a higher price." See above.It is the position of Becker Tire to not provide a refund of any kind due to the fact that the customer has no problem with the service performed and approved any and all work prior to it being done The basis for this complaint is the allegation that he never approved a higher amount which is simply untrue
