To Whom It May Concern, We sold a Caterpillar Skid Steer to a custom er on 12/12/in the amount of $21,We were asking $24,for the machineWe gave h¡m $3,from the beginningThe customer wanted the skid steer shipped to him and then decided to come after it the next week He arrived on 12/20/ He drove the skid steerHe apparently was pleased with it because nothing was said and he took it homeHe called a few weeks later and said that the machine broke downWe told him that we would try to help him with his repairs the best way we couldWe also offered him a refund if he would bring it back to usHe advised us that he wanted to keep itHe had the repairs done to itWe settled on a refund of $1,for his repairsHe was aware that this was a settlementHe accepted it and that was the last we heard from the customerNow, eleven months later, he is making a complaint against us Thank you, [redacted]

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. This machine was totally represented falsely. I was given a reduction in price due to negotiations in price, not because the machine was faulty. It was represented as ready for work with no leaks or issues, and I contacted the seller not in weeks as he lied about, but in a few days to let them know the hydraulic line was damaged and painted over. This has been an ongoing case of lies and apparently is still going on. I want the BBB to know what this business is all about. The $1000 was not a settlement by any means and was not discussed as being so, it was to help with an expensive tow bill and very little towards anything else. The bottom line is this: I purchased a machine in the hopes that the seller was representing the machine as it really was instead of being dishonest and misrepresenting its condition to get the sale price. I drove a long way from **. and picked up the machine late in the evening when the business was closed. ( I had already paid for it) Much to my disbelief,when hauling it back home, I stopped at a station and noticed the side of the loader had fluid all over it and it was clear the machine had issues that had been covered up. This individual said he would take it back only for him to try to sell it to someone else. I would lose more time & money bringing it back, would not get a refund until it sold, and I'm sure he would have charged me a commission. I didn't trust the owner and felt he would sell it for far less due to all of its problems. This company played me and I don't want to see anyone else get taken as I have. The salesman was also informed on everything and I made numerous calls to him over the issues from the very beginning. Again, this machine was represented totally different than what it was. This isnt the first time the seller has heard from me in 10 months. He would like you to believe it was sold on a reduced price to make up for the fraud in advertising here. I do not wish this on anyone, it has been a nightmare dealing with this company. Regards, [redacted]

asking $24,995 for the machine. We gave h¡m $3,495 from the beginning. The customer wanted the
skid steer shipped to him and then decided to come after it the next week....

He arrived on 12/20/2013.
He drove the skid steer. He apparently was pleased with it because nothing was said and he took it
home. He called a few weeks later and said that the machine broke down. We told him that we
would try to help him with his repairs the best way we could. We also offered him a refund if he
would bring it back to us. He advised us that he wanted to keep it. He had the repairs done to it. We
settled on a refund of $1,000 for his repairs. He was aware that this was a settlement. He accepted it

This business is very deceptive and did not offer to buy the machine back when I asked for a refund. They offered to try to sell it to some other customer if I hauled it back to them ( 9hour trip) and more than likely be honest with them because its no longer their machine to worry about, and how long it would take to sell doing it the honest way.
I have in no way been unreasonable, just honest unlike this business. All I can say is buyer beware, do your due diligence when looking at anything these people sell, dont take their word no matter how much of a pitch they give you.
