reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
Per my complaint I did take it to him on March 30th so he could take a look at the hood.  in looking at it he at this point told me there is no way to stop a car from rusting!  I explained to him that when I first took it to him to get an estimate he was aware that the hood was an after market hood and he explained to me why it had started rusting in the first place (because they never coated it properly before painting it) and that he would take care of it.  Now his story is "there is no way to stop a car from rusting"  so all he did was paint over everything .  I told him that if I would have known he couldn't fix the problem that he was just masking it and it would rust again in 5 months I never would have paid him to do the job.  per his sign in his window there is a camera facing the parking lot and that would show proof that I was there on the 30th.  he kept changing the subject and talked about how much he paid for this and that. I told him I didn't care what his bills are that I wanted to focus on why I was there.   that I would be willing to take half of what I already paid him so he wouldn't be out any money (in fact I doubt the job actually even was 250.00 on his end to just repaint the hood and not even do it correctly).  it is just the right thing to do.  he said he would correct the problem, no granted I didn't expect that It would never rust again for the life of the auto, but I expected it to last more than 5 months.  at least a few years.
