I have attached a copy of an / NO WARRANTY STATEMENT Christine signed at time of purchase all cars require maintenance to stay on the rodeI can not refund her for a car she bought a year and a half ago because she feels she should not have to spend money to maintain it and brakes are considered a general wear & tear maintenance item

THIS IS THE FIRST WE ARE HEARING OF ANY ISSUES AND WE ARE WILLING TO TRADE HIM OUT OF HIS TRUCK INTO ANOTHER

this was a used vehicle was sold AS IS and she signed a statement explaining that. Everything worked on the vehicle when she purchased it , there is no way for us to know if a transmission will go bad months later unfortunately you can not predict that ,
alternators are general maintance repairs and was working fine when she purchased the vehiclewe did pay to have the transmission flushed when she called about the problem and she continued to drive it after that when the problem came back and she was told by another shop that she needed a transmission we offered to get her one at our cost of $but she would have to pay for it we can not fix her vehicle for free but we offered to save her $in costs that the other shop quoted her

WE WOULD OF GLADLY CHECKED THE CAR OUT AFTER THE SALE IF THERE WAS A PROBLEM BUT WE WERE NOT INFORMED OF EXACTLY WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS THE CUSTOMER CALLED HIS SALESPERSON THE NEXT DAY AND SIMPLY STATED THANKS FOR *** ME AND HUNG UP THE PHONEAS FAR AS THE STEERING PROBLEM THAT ISSUE WAS
NEVER BROUGHT UP BY THE CUSTOMER WHEN HE TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE WE ADDRESSED HIS CONCERNS BEFORE HE TOOK DELIVERY AND HE LEFT HERE HAPPYTHE CUSTOMER NEVER GAVE US A CHANCE TO MAKE IT RIGHT BEFORE PAYING SOMEONE ELSE TO FIX IT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THE REPAIR ORDER ON WHAT HE HAD FIXED FOR $

We regret that our customer is unsatisfied with her vehicle. We do sell our vehicles as/is at our dealership. We did agree to replace the tires on her vehicle after she purchased it. which the work was completed. the tires were purchased from [redacted] auto parts and [redacted] tire was payed by us to...

install all four tires, balancing included. Customer picked up vehicle and was very appreciative that we did the work as agreed. sometime after her getting her car back her father called the lot and said that [redacted] had called her and was at [redacted] and her car had antifreeze all over the engine compartment. I strongly suggested to not drive the vehicle as it could cause major damage without having coolant level full. She wanted to fill it up and drive it here. I payed to have the car towed to my lot to prevent her from driving it, I informed her that it would take some time to get to it as we only have one mechanic and he was extremely busy.  We ound a hose with a damaged end and repaired it and found no coolant leak at that time. [redacted] picked up her car and several days later it overheated again. After diagnosing the issue again, which took many labor hours, found that the thermostat had broke. we replaced it and the car stopped losing coolant. she had other concerns at the time which she asked me to look at. my mechanic fixed multiple items on her car. we did not charge her. [redacted] later called and said when she put gas in her car it would spill on the ground. I offered to take a look at it for her if she stop by on Monday, she said she would come by. Monday she no showed for her appointment. She called Friday and wanted to come by and I told her that we would not have time to look at it. She then became very rude and irrational. I told her I was trying to be nice, but from here on out she is on her own. We went above and beyond what we were required to do.

we did go above and beyond when he first purchased the vehicle because he could not license it with out a good safety & emission it took time to pin point the problem but we did get a good safety & emission test done as we promised on this vehicle , unfortunately he did not license...

it before the inspections  expired and now he is unable to get it to pass because of a new problem that has occurred . that is why the vehicle was towed because it was not licensed . we gave him everything he needed to license his vehicle he chose not to do it in a timely manner therefore he wants to hold us responsible . he purchased a used car and he signed an as is statement. we were willing to help him out by getting him our  cost to fix it  so it would be cheeper for him but he wants us to take care of the bill  for everything and we just cant do that he purchased the car 1 year ago. with out a warranty

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: The first day I test drove the truck I asked them to address several things on it and they had assured me that they did but they...

did not.  The check engine light is a major one of them and the parts alone have cost us over 120.00 plus my son still has to find a place to work on it that is inside and warm as he needs to replace manifold gasket on the engine and a sensor too.  All they did was wipe the code and say it was OK and of course the light came back on as soon as he drove it the first day he had it.  The heater had to have a resistor replaced which was over 50.00  and the headlight switch had to be replaced which was another 50.00 plus my sons labor  and we had to put two new tires on it as he had a blowout with one that left him stranded on the road which was almost 300.00 and was mentioned by me before we bought it and they did nothing to address that either.  At this point I would like them to change that manifold gasket for him and the sensor, of course we have the parts so if they could furnish the labor that would be great and maybe a little reimbursement of the money we have put into it.  In the future I think they need to check these vehicles over and make sure they are better serviced before selling them.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

I have attached a copy of an AS-IS / NO WARRANTY STATEMENT  Christine signed at time of purchase.  all cars require maintenance to stay on the rode. I can not refund her for a car she bought a year and a half ago because she feels she should not have to spend money to maintain it and...

brakes are considered a general wear & tear maintenance item .

To whom it may concern:  Sorry we have not responded yet to this customer complaint, and I appreciate it being brought to our attention...we do strive to keep our customers happy as much as we can.  Firstly there mention of a titling issue causing Mr. [redacted] to not be able to drive his...

new car, as is standard practice in Illinois to place a temp-tag on the vehicle at the time of purchase which last for 90 day's, from that point the plates are mailed to him from the state of Illinois...this takes approximately 30 day's, so this would mean he was able to drive his vehicle the entire time.  In response to the vehicle itself, we are in the "used" car business but do have our own mechanic and prior to any car being lot ready it goes through the shop and we attempt to find and impending matters that would need to be addressed and from there we price it accordingly for sale.  When the vehicle was purchased it was brought to our attention that the air was blowing, but wasn't blowing cold, before Mr. [redacted] left we charged his AC and he left happily.  Now when he brought the car back to us with a concern that there was a leak, "he" presumed that that problem was a bad transmission, we told him we would get the vehicle looked at for him and would need the car for a few days....this turned out to be 4, not 7.  Prior to Mr. [redacted] buying the car we replaced the rack and pinion for the steering system, after getting it back we realized that it hadn't been secured as tight as it should have been.  We replaced the steering fluid and securely retightened to unit therefore eliminating the leak.  After doing this we wanted to make sure this wasn't a transmission problem like the customer was thinking and completely sprayed the vehicle down, made sure all hoses and clamps were tight and ran the car for 2 hours to access any leaks and found none.  All most of are vehicles with very few exceptions are sold AS-Is, which is signed off by all customer and kept with there file...it is the case with Mr. [redacted] as well.  Now this doesn't mean that we sell vehicles knowing there is issue's, it simply raises awareness to the customer that, one, they may want to get an extended warranty if available, or 2 possibly take it to their mechanic prior to purchase.  As you can see we did do our due diligence in attending to his vehicle...I'm sorry he feels that we are responsible.  If I can be of any further assistance please contact me at [redacted].
