Bed Bugs, Etc. Pest Control, Inc. Reviews (3)

[redacted] had his first bed bug treatment on April 29th 2015 for $376.92, he then had his first follow up on May 8th 2015 for $105.84, his second follow up on May 20th 2015 for $105.84, and his final follow up on June 5th 2015 for $105.84.Due to the nature of bed bugs we can never fully ensure that...

a person will ever get bed bugs again because of this we highly recommend that our customers get recurring treatments. [redacted] signed a quarterly contract to get this done, but never went through with the quarterly treatments.  Since the quarterly treatments were not gone through with the contract was terminated.  This is clearly stated in section 3 “Quarterly service treatments will be scheduled on a date established by Bed Bugs Etc. Pest Control and the customer.  Customer agrees to make the service area available for treatment.  If customer does not respond within two weeks to scheduling notice, and does not make premises available on the agreed upon date, the service contract will be considered severed and a $100 cancellation fee will be applied.”  When [redacted] did finally call in approximately two months after his quarterly treatment was suppose to be done he was offered the option of renewing his recurring treatments for $85 he refused and said that he had a warranty.  No where on the contract does it state there is a warranty.  [redacted] is confusing section 4 of the contract for being a warranty.  In section 4 it states “This is a one (1) year term contract, which will automatically renew at the end of the term.  Either party may cancel this contract at any time after the first twelve (12) months upon providing thirty (30) days written notice.”  This is again in reference to having recurring quarterly treatments done this was explained to him multiple times over the phone.  I can provide a scanned copy of the contract in question for review, but it does contain personal information.

While I understand [redacted]s frustration with reacquiring bed bugs months after getting his treatment done he has rejected the methods needed to prevent re-infestation.  The quarterly treatments are put in place to help our customers prevent future bed bug problems if they are not followed and not upheld we can not help the customer.  We reached out to [redacted] to do his quarterly treatment months ago with nothing coming of it.  Even after we terminated his quarterly contract with us when he called in looking for help we offered him to start back up with them for an even cheaper price of $85 for each of his recurring treatments but he refused. Our contract was created with a lawyer to prevent confusion and ensure that it is clear for customers to understand.  It is unfortunate that [redacted] has had confusion with our contract but it is clearly written and was looked over by a lawyer to ensure that everything inside of it was both legal and clear.  The contract is very clear and nothing about it is misleading, [redacted] refused his quarterly treatments by not responding or following up with our scheduling calls, and even after the contract was terminated and he was offered to continue where he left off he refused.  We want to help [redacted] take care of this new problem but if he needs to go through the proper steps.

Nov. 25, 2015In response to the explanation offered by the company, Bad Bug Etc., to Revdex.com concerning my complaint.  Let me say at the on-site; I disagree with their conclusion, or at best I could say about the contract in question; it is that vague and misleading (on purpose) choice of words.  To prove a main point of contention; Bed Bugs Etc. in their explanation, went directly to the lines in their contract, that they knew was confusing, or the main cause of the problem (time limit and obligation by them to uphold their end of the contract --- that is to service their customers for a year on a quarterly basis, if service is needed  They know this is the crux of the problem, and left the wording in the contract for the purpose of making the contract attractive to potential customers -- like me.I am sending you a copy of this contract, for you to read, and see if you don't agree.
