Bed Tech

I purchased a BedTech premium mattress protector on 9/28/19 at an authorized retailer (***) I purchased the protector for approx. $100 I chose this particular one due to the statement on the packaging that it was “100% waterproof” to spills, urine, etc. In January 2020, my cat urinated on my mattress. The urine went first through a duvet and insert, then sheets and finally the mattress protector. I caught it while it was still fresh and wet and after removing the “100% waterproof” cover I noticed that my mattress was wet with urine. As a result, I had to purchase a new mattress. I contacted Bed Tech who informed me that since I did not purchase a new mattress the same day as the protector that any guarantees were void. I requested a refund of the mattress protector and was refused. Bed Tech had no concern that they were falsely advertising their protectors as “100% waterproof” when that is clearly not the case
