In response to complaint I.D. [redacted], Mr. [redacted] purchased a mattress on 2/20/2010.
Mr. [redacted] called the mattress manufacturer regarding his complaint,  they could not help
him due to cost factors, the manufacturer wanted Mr. [redacted] to ship his mattress to...

them.
If Mr. [redacted] had called Bedding Barn first our company would have rectified the situation
immediately. 
 
We value each and everyone of our customers and have since 1965, always satisfying their
needs as quickly as possible.  Bedding Barn talked to Mr. [redacted] immediately upon receipt
of this complaint.  Mr. [redacted] came into our [redacted] Store, reselected a replacement mattress
and had it exchanged the very next day  11/06/2014, and is very satisfied.

In response to [redacted]'s complaint, a check was immediately issued after the mattresses were returned to our Bedding Barn
in [redacted], Ct.  The check was mailed out to Mrs. [redacted].  The following day Mrs [redacted], informed us that the address we sent the
check to was...

the wrong address and we needed to put a stop payment on it and re-issue.  Bedding Barn complied, when we called Mrs [redacted]to let her know a new check had been issued, she informed us that her husband had already received and cashed the first check sent out.
At this time Mrs [redacted] has her refund and Bedding Barn has the return of her mattresses.

In regards to Mrs. [redacted]'s rejection,  Bedding Barn issued the stop payment per Mrs. [redacted]'s request as a wrong mailing address was on the 1st refund check issued.
A 2nd check was issued for Mrs. [redacted] to pick up at Bedding Barn, between the two transactions Mrs. [redacted]'s husband cashed the 1st check after we put the stop payment on it.
Mrs. [redacted] called later in the afternoon and left a message with a sales associate that her husband cashed the check, never speaking to me or she would have been told that the stop
payment she requested had been issued.
Bedding Barn has been in business for 50 years, and customer satisfaction is our priority, which is why Bedding Barn did what Mrs. [redacted] asked of us.

Once again, Bedding Barn Inc. took care of Mrs. [redacted] in a very timely manor, from the point Mrs. [redacted] called and asked for a refund to the point where she received a refund check.
Bedding Barn Inc. is a corporation that takes care of our customers with all concerns and or situations.  Bedding Barn Inc. did as asked by taking back Mrs. [redacted]s' mattresses and returning her money to her.

Review: I was unsatisfied with 2 mattresses I purchased so the Corp store offered to accept them back and refund my money. I was told a check would have to be issued but since my children would be sleeping on the floor until I was able to get the refund and buy new beds for them I could pick up the check and they would expidit the refund. I called today and was told the check was mailed. I advised they never delivered the beds I picked up so they didn't have my address. He told me the address the check was mailed to and I advised that was an incorrect mailing address. I asked that they stop payment on the check and re issue so I can pick up. I again stated my kids were sleeping on the floor I needed to buy beds ASAP. I was told it was not his problem and he would not pay the bank to stop payment on the check. I told him since it's now going to a wrong address it will be lost and he would have to anyway. I was told is not his problem and I was to call back tomorrow. The call was then disconnected. I called back and no one would speak to me regarding the issue. The close at 9pm, it was 4:59 and I was told everyone left at 5 for the day

I was told they would NOT stop payment on the check. I called the next day and was told it would researched and I would get a return call before anything was done. Within a hour I called the business back and told them my husband was able to get the check from the address it was mailed to. I deposited the check and days later was notified the check bounced. My bank charged me a fee and I had to drive over 30 min to pick up a second check. [redacted] claimed she left me a message but according to the bank the stop payment was placed 24 hours after I made the deposit. That proves they put a stop payment AFTER I called to say the check was received. The store acknowledge my calls stating I received the check but never notified me they stopped payment.
