Review: I looked at a used vehicle Thursday evening (January 8), inquired all about it after emailing back and fourth with [redacted], the salesperson for about 4 days. I talked to the service department because of it being sold as is. I found a paper in the glove box that stated that the dealership inspected the vehicle, did an oil change, and also a 29 point inspection. It also stated that the "engine light" was on with misfire code. The service department said they checked the plugs and they were good and cleared the code. I purchased the vehicle the next day (Friday). Friday evening the "engine light " came on. I took it to Autozone on Saturday and got code P0307 cylinder 7 misfire. I took the vehicle to a reputable garage Monday afternoon (January 12). They put on their computer and got same code. When they pulled the spark plugs, they were burnt down to the porcelain, in very bad condition. The vehicle needed all new spark plugs, air filter, pcv valve, and an ignition coil. Today the "engine light" came back on. It needs a rocker arm that is going to cost me another $181 and a day without a car. There is no way that the dealership looked over the vehicle at all. All they did with the "engine light" being on was clear the code, not fix the problem like they should have. I understand the vehicle was sold as is but having to have it to the garage twice within the first week of purchase is ridiculous. I emailed the saleslady about the problem and the cost. She said she would talk to her manager to see what can be done. That was on Monday (January 12). I still haven't heard back from anyone at the dealership.Desired Settlement: I really like the vehicle however I did not like getting lied to about what was actually wrong with the vehicle and what the dealership actually did to it. I do feel that the dealership should pay for all the repair costs. If that doesn't happen, they should at least pay for 75% of the repair costs.
