Review: A mattress was purchased from Bedroom Solutions in the store in San Luis Obispo. Delivery was scheduled. The day before the mattress was to be delivered we called the store and cancelled our order due to the fact our son, a student, no longer needed the mattress. When I called the store to request the refund I told the clerk I wanted the total amount posted to our credit card. We were told by the store clerk on the phone that the store policy is to refund only 80% of the total purchase price. We were told that this 20% hold back policy is to cover their "reorder" expenses. This 20% hold-back policy is not posted anywhere in the store nor on the sales receipt. I was told by the store clerk to contact the owner, Mr. Richard [redacted], if I had an issue with their refund policy. I called Mr. [redacted] immediately and requested a full refund since the mattress had not been delivered and it had not even been loaded onto the delivery truck. Mr. [redacted] was insulting and belligerent to me on the phone. He displayed a rude behavior and even went so far as to accuse me of being a thief for requesting a full refund. This 20% hold-back appears to be a punitive measure to punish customers who change their minds after making a purchase. I told Mr. [redacted] that I would be in contact with the Revdex.com.Desired Settlement: Bedroom Solutions of San Luis Obispo needs to refund the full purchase price that we were originally charged. An unpublished "policy" of a 20% hold-back to cancelled orders is not right. Also, Mr. [redacted] owes me a full apology for his rude and insulting behavior on the phone.
