Beehive Heating & Cooling Reviews (8)

On 12/the ***'s called Beehive to see if we could work on their yr old furnace & advised us that the extended limited warrantee expires the next day We advised them that it would be impossible to repair the unit if parts were needed by the next day, After both of us spoke with warrantee, they agreed to extend the warrantee for daysWe found that the draft motor was bad & ordered this part It came in as a retro fit kit We replaced the part & a few days later the ***'s called saying the fan was not working Beehive went back & found the fan to be a booster fan, not the main fan to the furnace not working We hooked this back up, turned the power back on and received an ignition failure We cleaned the flame sensor and ran a ground to the furnaceThe furnace then went out on a pressure switch failure We removed the intake & the vent pipe to see if that would make a difference Furnace still wouldn't light, took the combustion door off & the furnace lit Checked draw on the draft fan & it was ok At this time pulled the tube off to the collector box & found debris stuck in it Put the door back on the furnace & it operated fine for days Customer called us back & we went out to find the same problem After blowing out flues & vent line again, the only way the furnace would stay lit was to now leave the burner box door open Our GM then talked with Trane warrantee & they could not extend the warrantee any longer The ***'s were then called back & told we could work on it but it would be a billable call Mr [redacted] called back a day later stating he could not pay for a service & wanted Beehive to call tech services while he was with Beehive, free of charge To date we have not charge the ***'s any money nor have we gotten paid from Trane warrantee for the parts or our labor Beehive can't send techs out on calls to sit on the phone with homeowners and tech services at no chargeOur repair was correct, this yr old furnace obviously needed add'tl work that Mr [redacted] wanted covered by warrantee Mr [redacted] was advised that the work already done was no charge to him & fully covered by us if we had done something wrong The motor that the ***'s are saying was installed incorrectly (based on his claim that another company came to look at his furnace), is not possible to install this motor incorrectly as there is only one way to install this factory issued part It mounts right on the heat exchanger with four screws

I am rejecting this response because:
In response to *** of Bee Hive Heating & Cooling As *** stated, my furnaces are ten years old, but, I have made certain to keep up on the maintenance, with never a problem... First, I never expected Bee Hive Heating and Cooling to come to my house for free, the extended warrantee was extended through Trane, and I PAID EXTRA for the warranty when purchasing my furnaces years ago... Trane originally extended the warranty by days and the second time they extended it for as much time was needed by (Bee Hive) to figure out what the problem was
Secondly, the furnace never worked for more than a day*** was lying when she said the furnace worked for days It worked for a day The technicians were taking longer than they thought they would need because they were having issues with the wiring of the motherboard of the panel… The only way the technicians were able to have the furnace working continuously, was by leaving the combustion door and furnace lid off, obviously not a very safe way to run your furnace *** is well aware that the fan comes as a retro fit kit, which includes the wiring of a mother board and more than bolts to be installed Very unprofessional of a company that calls their customer a liar, CLAIMING that I said her technicians did not install the fan properly I have a receipt from Mid-State Heating & Cooling that states their technicians corrected the installation job that Beehive's technicians failed to get right!
Thirdly, it certainly does not look good for *** of Bee Hive to lie about Trane and their customer service department not extending the warrantee, when they most certainly did I called Trane customer service and was told by the representative that they gave Bee Hive extra time to troubleshoot my furnace to figure out what the problem was On the other hand, when I called (***) she told me that I had to pay upfront! Frustrated, I called Trane and explained this to the representative and they were very sorry about the way Beehive was dealing with my issue and had given me a name of another company to call and have them come out to fix my furnace! (I have copies of the email of this communication with Trane)
I was told Beehive Heating & Cooling mainly installs furnaces, not much experience in fixing technical issues Maybe they shouldn't be so greedy l will never recommend Beehive Heating & Cooling to anyone

In early June a service call was received that she was
having air flow problems. Our GM was sent to her home to find the blower motor
was bad. A quote to repair was sent to her.  A few wks went by, a deposit
was received and the motor was installed.  Our GM assured me all was fine
& system operating properly.
June 25th a complaint was received that the system was not maintaining
temperatures.  The t-stat was set at 73, home 89.  Questions were
asked about conditions changing in the home as it is a modular home.  Our
GM responded on June 26th to find system off & satisfied at 73
degrees.  At time of the call on June 26th another companies' sticker was
found attached to the unit and Ms. [redacted] was informed that we would not be
responsible for unit because of being unsure that problems were not
created by the other company

Like they said I've been a loyal customer and there is no reason why I should be made to feel that I'm being a liar. Beehive Heating and cooling has been the only company to do any repair on my unit. If they don't want to fix my unit correctly I will have to take this further.
My loyalty has always been with Beehive Heating and Cooling and I can't believe how rude they have been.

On 12/19 the [redacted]'s called Beehive to see if we could work on their 10 yr old furnace & advised us that the extended limited warrantee expires the next day.   We advised them that it would be impossible to repair the unit if parts were needed by the next day,  After both of...

us spoke with warrantee, they agreed to extend the warrantee for 15 days. We found that the draft motor was bad & ordered this part.  It came in as a retro fit kit.  We replaced the part & a few days later the [redacted]'s called saying the fan was not working.  Beehive went back & found the fan to be a booster fan, not the main fan to the furnace not working.  We hooked this back up, turned the power back on and received an ignition failure.  We cleaned the flame sensor and ran a ground to the furnace. The furnace then went out on a pressure switch failure.  We removed the intake & the vent pipe to see if that would make a difference.  Furnace still wouldn't light, took the combustion door off & the furnace lit.  Checked draw on the draft fan & it was ok.  At this time pulled the tube off to the collector box & found debris stuck in it.  Put the door back on the furnace & it operated fine for 10 days.
Customer called us back & we went out to find the same problem.  After blowing out flues & vent line again, the only way the furnace would stay lit was to now leave the burner box door open.  Our GM then talked with Trane warrantee & they could not extend the warrantee any longer.  The [redacted]'s were then called back & told we could work on it but it would be a billable call.  Mr. [redacted] called back a day later stating he could not pay for a service & wanted Beehive to call tech services while he was with Beehive, free of charge.  To date we have not charge the [redacted]'s any money nor have we gotten paid from Trane warrantee for the parts or our labor.  Beehive can't send techs out on calls to sit on the phone with homeowners and tech services at no charge. Our repair was correct, this 10 yr old furnace obviously needed add'tl work that Mr. [redacted] wanted covered by warrantee.  Mr [redacted] was advised that the work already done was no charge to him & fully covered by us if we had done something wrong.  The motor that the [redacted]'s are saying was installed incorrectly (based on his claim that another company came to look at his furnace), is not possible to install this motor incorrectly as there is only one way to install this factory issued part.  It mounts right on the heat exchanger with four screws.

Review: My central airconditioning was not cooling my home and I called Beehive Heating and Cooling to service the unit ( Please note that I've been an customer of Beehive for about 7 years) . Beehive said the reapair would cost $1,353.30. I told Beehive to give me time to think about it and I called for a second opinion with a company called [redacted] but because there repair cost was quoted higher I just decided to stay with the company I knew best wihich was Beehive Heating and Cooling. Beehive came to repaired the unit but the unit was not repaired properly because the house was not cooling to the set temperture. I called Beehive again and they gave me a hard time about wanting to come out to check the unit claiming that because my house was a pre fab home it was normal for that to happen. I spoke to [redacted] the owner and he said that they would send someone to check the unit again. When Beehive came back to check the unit they claimed that the unit was working fine. The unit is not cooling the house and when I called this morning for them to come and service the unit they said they were not going to service my unit because the unit had a sticker on it that said [redacted]. [redacted] never repair my central air unit and now Beehive is claiming that they are basicly to blame for the problem of the unit. They are also insinuating that I am a liar which is not true. They have also cashed my checks and I didn't get the service I paid for.Desired Settlement: My true desired outcome was just to have my central air unit fix properly but at this point I just want my money refunded.

Regards,

Review: On December 9, 2013, our Trane furnace stopped working. The extended warranty was coming to end on December 10, 2013 (a day later). However, Trane's customer service department assured us that they will cover the repair. They also told me that they had told [redacted] from Bee Hive Heating & Cooling in Jackson, NJ that they will honor an additional 15 days to the extended warranty for them to make the repairs. After troubleshooting the furnace, Bee Hive's tech found that the combustion fan needed to be replaced. Trane had the fan delivered to Bee Hive in a few days, a day or two later they came and replaced it. After the replacement the furnace was still not working. I called bee hive and spoke to [redacted], she had the service manager [redacted] come out and troubleshoot the unit. [redacted] wasn't able to get the unit to work correctly, but was able to get it to work with an inside panel and door removed.

He told me that he will have to research more before he could figure out what was wrong. At that point I contacted Trane since the 15 day extension was coming to an end. Trane once again allowed additional time for Bee Hive to figure out the problem. After a I spoke to [redacted] she refused to send a tech unless I paid upfront. She claimed they already had spent too much time on the furnace. She didn't care that the tech didn't get to fix the problem. When I called Trane customer service department they told me that paying upfront is not how their warranty works. Bee Hive left my furnace with an inside panel and door removed. [redacted] refused to help me, even when I agreed to pay upfront...

She told my wife that we should call me another heating company which meant that the extended warranty was no longer applicable.

$255.00 later and a different heating & cooling co. the tech figured out that the fan that Bee Hive heating & cooling had installed was installed incorrectly by their technician.

Customer beware, Bee Hive's customer service is horrible!!!Desired Settlement: I was told to call another company to fix a problem with my furnace that was caused by their own tech... They failed to honor service under the terms of Trane's warranty terms...
