I saw my psychiatrist *** 9/23/19. He offered to renew my disability benefits. I suffered a nervous breakdown and he is treating me for depression, anxiety and insomnia. He walked me out to the front desk and told the front desk staff to renew my disability benefits, they told me *** the office manager would call me and sent me off. To this day she hasn’t called me and the death line for my benefits is nearing. I have left several messages for her and went to the office yesterday to talk in person with her but was told she was in a 2 hour lunch and she would call me back when she’s back. She still hasn’t called me and this is the reason I’m filling this complaint and considering ta*** legal action due to the extra anxiety this situation is causing me.

The patient mentioned in this complaint came in to see our Psychiatrist, Dr. ***. This appointment took place on 09/23/2019. The provider did agree to take over his disability forms. We were not the original Doctor who took him off work, but agreed to continue his disability, Since we did not have any of his paperwork with him, and was not due until ***, the front office staff informed him that he will need to bring in the paperwork, so that I can fill it out. No message was given to me since they thought the patient would come back with the paperwork. I am not sure what day he came in to Talk to me, but typically, I have to leave the office for provider errands and can be away from the office for several hours, Again, 1 was not informed he was in the office, because it was assumed he would call back. The patient did leave a message with a medical assistant in our office on Friday *** returned the call to the patient on Monday 10/07/2019. 1 explained to the patient a II the information that I had received. He was very unhappy with me at this point. Patient had an apps on ***, he said he would give me all the information I needed at that time. Patient came in on *** and his forms were done while he was standing in my office, If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to call our office.

I am rejecting this response because:
The reason for this complaint was the staff’s condescending attitude and lack of professionalism and empathy towards their mental health patients. It is not true that the staff asked me to bring in my documents. All I was told to do was to leave her written messages as*** her for a call back and I did until she finally called me on October 4th with a condescending attitude and not once to this day, offering me an apology.
