was not understanding when I had to cancel my wedding due to the current pandemic with another date TBD. She required we pay ANOTHER $500 deposit ... (she already took one deposit and deemed non refundable) and would not put the already paid deposit towards a future date. When it was questioned why an email stated one thing and a contract said another she got very defensive and stopped communication implying we should talk on the phone rather then exchange emails (we were doing so for a paper trail)
While I would love to just reschedule my wedding, the future landscape does not make that a safe or realistic option. In addition, as healthcare workers and relatives of front-line healthcare workers, I've learned about the tragedy happening first hand and thought she would be more understanding with the current pandemic situation. All of my previously booked wedding vendors (small businesses and large)applied the deposit towards the wedding(when we have a date)or gave full refunds to us in this devastating time. This business is only interested in making money and flaunting purchases (that she most likely made with my deposit) on social media and its disgusting.
I have been going back and forth via email and have gotten nowhere to solve this issue, finally told her her services are no longer needed for my wedding when it does happen because her attitude and lack of respect is not needed during such an already uncertain time.

After reading what *** has written about myself and my business I am completely devastated. I take such great pride as shown on all of my reviews (*** etc) of customer service and I treat everyone with the the upmost respect and kindness. When *** and *** sent me a email on July 7th notifying me that they were postponing their wedding I asked them if they had a new date in mind and their reply was that they had no plans to reschedule at this time. As per our contract I always agree to reschedule weddings prior to 30 days from their wedding date. I also expressed that I felt the deepest regret that they were having to go through all of this during what should be such a special time. Since they had no future date of rescheduling I told them that I would require a new deposit when they decided if they would like to reschedule with me. Like any business owner, deposits are to hold a date for a service and they are non-refundable if they are canceled on. I told the couple that I would transfer their deposit to a new date if they came up with one but they would have to pay my second shooter fee ($200). I also stated that if they no longer wished to have a second shooter, they wouldn't even be responsible for the $200. This is the fee I pay my second shooter in advance for her to also reserve the couples date. I never asked them to pay an additional $500 deposit, so that is completely false. As a courtesy to the couple I also did not require them to pay for their engagement photos which is a $300 service, I told them I would just deduct it from their deposit. So in all honesty I made absolutely no money on their $500 deposit (-$300 engagement session, -$200 second shooter fee = $0). As per my last email to ***, I stated that "If any further clarification is needed, I'd be happy to c111hat on the phone with you ladies.". I responded back to them promptly, professionally and stated facts to them both very clearly. I only stated to chat on the phone as a way to convey the information in a more personable way. This couple has slandered my business as well as me personally by referring to my personal life, in which I do not appreciate at all. It is completely disrespectful and I will not tolerate such behavior against my character. I will gladly send a copy of email correspondence which will also show my professionalism and all of the facts that were incorrectly stated by ***. I will also provide a copy of my standard wedding contract, as well as my pricing sheet for engagement photos.
