To address the complaint from [redacted] , which is probably [redacted] in disguiseI will stand by that they pretty picky and [redacted] is the king of over exaggeratingServices were completed and we were happily paidTo date everything looks awesomeWe have been out many times to address issues that they have had but they have all been pretty small and everything has always been done asap after they have said anything1st there was s quote major dead spot for the grassI went out expected to see half the lawn dead but it was about sf total on the edge and he had ran over sprinkler heads with his lawn mowerMore than a month later all of a sudden he decided his edge and pavers are not straight enough so we re leveled and moved them again as soon as possible and the extent that they needed to be moved was inchesThey think that the lawn is going to have 100% awesome, constant, flawless, best in the neighborhood grass year round without having to do any extra workHe also does not think he should ever have to pull a weed and even then we went ahead and accommodated him which did result in a few inches around the edge of a fraction of the back lawn to die which we again replaced asapTo the sprinklers, they are installed correctly, everything works, everything gets covered by waterThe pressure could be better in the back zones but functionally they are fineHe wants them manipulated to have more pressure etc change the layout of the lawn and replace heads in the front that are not a problem at allEven still we are and have been willing to help remedy this the issue is he expects us to just be one open check bookIt took them months to have someone come go over it again with them and decide what they would like to doThis is the only quote they have gotten, the guy charged just to come look most people give free estimatesIt is obvious based on the write up quote the guy is over charging by a lotEssentially it is about an hour for this guy do to simple stuffI do not know what was said to the guy when he was out and if those are his prices or he racked them up thinking the bill is just getting passed so they do not care on price which is also something at the least that I think is trueWe are not willing to just write blank checks for everything he wishes when we already disagree with the problem in the first placeI told him that the guy is over priced if he wants to go with that then fine but I am not a blank check I will give you $or I will give you $and complete a service that the guy has listed to be done for $which is your desired total of $and on top of that offered to have my guys scrape up the area of grass he is going to remove for free

I just drove by yesterday and the lawn is super green, it looks better than all of the ones around it and there is no dying or browner spot I performed what they instructed, they act like it's all my responsibility to forsee exactly everything that can happen and outline it exactly for them as if they could notI would have outlined more of an expectation if I'd known how they areThere is nothing wrong at all with the front sprinklers so I do not see why I would pay for that portionThe indicated watering times are not excessiveI do not see it unreasonable to ask other contractors for free estimates before agreeing to have them out and wanting more money from usThey should be easy to find on home adviser or [redacted]

Essentially it is about 200 an hour for this guy do to simple stuff. I do not know what was said to the guy when he was out and if those are his prices or he racked them up thinking the bill is just getting passed so they do not care on price which is also something at the least that I think is true. We are not willing to just write blank checks for everything he wishes when we already disagree with the problem in the first place. I told him that the guy is over priced if he wants to go with that then fine but I am not a blank check I will give you $400 or I will give you $125 and complete a service that the guy has listed to be done for $640 which is your desired total of $765 and on top of that offered to have my guys scrape up the area of grass he is going to remove for free.

I am rejecting this response because:
We do have high standards for services that originally cost us $10000. This was a big investment for us and we expected it to be done right. It is not unrealistic to expect sprinklers to cover all areas of grass to keep it from burning in the hot summer months. If [redacted] felt our expectations were too high, he should have said something before he accepted the job or at the very least gave us suggestions for landscaping that would be more realistic in his eyes. We are asking for a refund because of sprinklers that are not properly covering all our grass areas. We are currently watering on our days (3 times, 13 minutes each time) and it is not enough so we hand water as well, which is STILL not enough.  We cannot continue to hand water as much as we do. I have attached pictures of the front lawn which shows a huge dying spot. [redacted] even said in his response “The pressure could be better in the 2 back zones” so why is it even a question that the sprinklers are not doing what they should?This time of year it is nearly impossible to get someone out here to assess the sprinklers. We continued to call companies and finally found someone who was able to come out. There were several times it took [redacted] over a week or two to come back out because his company is so busy and that’s understandable in the summer months. We have declined [redacted]’s offer to continue working on our property because of how many times he and his crew have had to come back out to our house for unsatisfactory work. We will make a compromise and not ask for the $95 back that we paid another company to assess the sprinklers. We will continue to ask for a refund of $670. This includes correcting improper set up of the sprinklers in the front and back yard. This DOES NOT include rebuilding the manifold-we are not doing that at this time. This also DOES NOT include removing any grass, which we may or may not do later. We absolutely decline [redacted] working anymore on our property. We are willing to call another company to come give a second quote to fix the sprinklers since [redacted] believes we tried to find the most expensive person we could.  If we do this, and they charge us to come out, we will expect to be reimbursed for that. Thanks, [redacted]
