BEI Exterior Maintenance Corporation Reviews (2)

I am rejecting this response because: I spoke with Karen on September and informed her that there was a serious mold problem. She said she would let Jason know. I spoke with Jason and *** on September and told them if the mold was not removed, I would call a health inspector. Please be in touch with Joe ***, StPaul Fire Inspector who will verify my conversations with him regarding the mold. The fire inspector came to inspect the mold problem on September 29, 2017, at my request. That same day, Dale from BEI arrived with bleach and sprayed the mold. He said, "I don't know what will happen next. We are an exterior maintenance company." On October 2, Mr*** met either with *** or BEI and ordered the mold removed. The mold was removed on October 3. This necessitated that the ceiling and entire back wall of my closet be removed, leaving my unit unsecured, vulnerable and unsafe because anyone who had access to the adjacent storeroom, where the mold problem was horrific, and where the main water lines and meters are housed, would have access to my home. When Mr*** returned to reinspect the storeroom on October 25, 2017, he became aware of the insecurity of my home and order that the reconstruction of my closet be a priority. Please verify these facts with the Mr***. *** Decorating, hired by BEI and ordered by Mr***, reconstructed my closet on October and completed their part of the project on November 1. Paul of *** Decorating informed Jason twice that he was done with the project. On October 31, 2017, I called Jason and told him *** would be done on November and asked if I was to go somewhere to pick out carpeting or how that worked. I did not hear from Jason until November 9. I can prove that I visited ***'s and ***'s on November and November

Subj: Complaint #[redacted]Dear [redacted]:Please except this letter as response to the above noted claim. On Sept. 25, 2017 at 4:42 P.M. BEI received a fax transmission from [redacted] discussing a leak situation at [redacted] which included various names, unit numbers, and phone numbers. The...

only thing not included was any concrete information regarding the situation. See [redacted] Work Order #[redacted] included. On Sept. 27, 2017 contact was made with [redacted] with the intent of making a site visit to evaluate the conditions. [redacted] indicated she would not be available until Oct. 3rd.On Oct. 3, 2017 a BEI service person visited the site. This person removed some closet shelving, wood trim, damaged sheetrock, and affected carpet. After removing thoseitems the affected area was treated with an anti-microbial.At this point a delay in progress occurred as a result of disputes over who the financially responsible party was going to be. [redacted] insisted she was not, the tenants above her insisted they were not, [redacted] and the H.O.A. declined involvement. The H.O.A. finally agreed to accept responsibility to pay for all associated costs in order to get things moving again.During the first week of November new sheetrock was installed and painted. A carpet installer was scheduled to measure for new carpeting. On Nov. 13, 2017 the carpet installer arrived to take the necessary measurements and acquire a sample for matching. While there he reinstalled the closet shelf at her request. According to the installer, [redacted] was very demanding and otherwise rude. She demanded that he “find a match to her carpet immediately”. Approximately two days after the site visit BEI received phone calls from both [redacted] and the installer. The installer informed BEI that he was not willing to proceed with the project and [redacted] informed us that she never wanted the installer back in her home. At some point after this [redacted] informed BEI that she had found an acceptable carpet herself at [redacted]’s Carpeting. BEI ordered thecarpet at her direction and is now waiting for [redacted]’s to receive the carpet and have it installed. From the onset [redacted] has been threatening and argumentative. She has continually threatened to notify government agencies or bring about legal action. BEI is merely trying to help her despite the hostile environment. She has no appreciation for the state of construction, labor shortages, and extended schedules in the current claimant.BEI has not intentionally or negligently delayed the progress of this project and is consistently working to bring about completion in as timely a manor as possible.
